Birthday cards.

I recently made two birthday cards. One for my son and one for my daughter. I used the same basic design but each one has a different look.

First up is the one for my son.

I actually made 3 exactly the same. I'll use this card to send to Wade's two sons on their birthdays. Inside there is a tan oval shape the same size as the blue oval. That's where you would write your message. I sealed the one for my son before I took the picture and this one doesn't have that oval inside yet.

Next is the one I made for my daughter.

Same design, different papers and different focal piece on the front. I designed the cat in Cricut Design Space using mostly circles and triangles for the ears. I thought he came out pretty cute.

And here is a look at the inside. Again, there is a circle the same size as the outside circle for writing your message.

Because I think the cat is so cute. Here's a close up of him. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the nose. I cut the circle by hand so far from perfect. I couldn't find anything else to use that looked good. I tried a leftover gem from a diamond art project but it was way too small.

I absolutely love these creations. I would love to have one like this to write a birthday message for my mother. And the cat would definitely be my choice because its little nose reminds me that it is such a beautiful and innocent creature, just like the cartoon characters we grew up watching. Congratulations on your wonderful creations!!!

Sometimes those little imperfections, as in your kitty's nose, make them even better in my humble opinion. I love these cards you made and I am sure Amanda and Brad do too.

I love them. I love giving cards, its a thing of the past that I hope never goes away completely esp for the bdays, deaths and I am here for you cards. About 3 yrs or so ago I decided to try my hand at watercolors. Now mind you, I am not that good at it, its different painting water when you usually paint with oils or acrylics, but they turn out nice. I sent out tree cards a week and half go for my SIL Kim, niece Holly and Kim's sister that I also know when Kim lost her mom. At the same time I sent out a get well, and my brothers bday card. Yesterday I put two sorry for you loss cards and Holly's bday card in the mail. Saves money on cards, I feel they are special and it also lets that person you are sending it to feel special. I don't do what you do with the cards which are great, but I make mine with what I know. I have a sorry for your loss of you pet to do today for my aunt.
