Rewards and waiting.

This is sort of a mismatched post but here goes.

First up the reward. At work they sent an employee survey for everyone to do. In order to get higher participation they offered an incentive. If they got a certain percentage they would draw 10 names to get an extra day of PTO. If they got a little higher they would pull 25 names. Then they came back with an offer that if they reached 95% participation everyone across all divisions would get an extra day off.

We got this email on Wednesday May 27th

I went to Walmart on a Saturday morning. I had a prescription to pick up and I needed to do a little grocery shopping. All I wanted was some strawberries and some blackberries. I stood and waited for this woman who was totally oblivious to anyone around her while she checked every single package of strawberries. I think she even checked some twice. I had to have stood there for a good 10 minutes waiting for her.

I love an extra day off. How cool is that. Yikes on the ten minute wait. Wonder if she ever found the perfect berries. Do you ever shop at Aldi. Got some blueberries there this week. Soooo good.

A 10-minute wait. I think I would have walked over into her space. She may not have even realized how much time she was taking and that others waited. That is a cool employer that you have.

WOW Anny what a nice reward...thankful the day you waited on this oblivious woman was not the day you selected as a floating holiday. What the heck was she expecting a fairy to wave a magic wand to reduce the prices?

Don't you just love waiting for those shoppers. I leave and go elsewhere and come back later.

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

For some reason on my computer I couldn't enlarge that letter. People's comments sound like it was a good letter. Yes, very annoying waiting for that woman to pick her fruit.

Oblivious to the world ... a pet peeve of mine. You were much too patience ... Congratulations on the PTO. What a great incentive to have everyone do the survey. Enjoy that special day.

Congrats on the day off. I can't believe the lady stood so long in front of you - rude.

I hate it when people do this! I have waited so long behind someone picking out donuts. They seem to pretend that they don't see us, but I believe they have excellent peripheral vision. Shoppers need to keep an eye out for who is behind them. This drives me NUTS!!!! I could go on forever about it.
