First of all I want to thank all of you who have left such encouraging comments here. I appreciate the vote of confidence more than you know. I also want to say I'm sorry for being so negative in my last few posts. Life just seems to be bringing me down a bit lately.
After looking at the pictures from the wedding however, I feel like I have really let everyone down. Over a third of them are totally unusable. Even my trusty photoshop elements can't fix them. The rest, well, I'm dealing with blur, lots of grain, color problems, lighting problems, you name it, it's in there....lol
If anyone has some miracle tricks to share with me I would love to hear them.
Here's one that wasn't too awful, but I don't think I'm happy with the edit that I did to it.
I haven't checked with the bride to see if she minds me posting some but this one I'm sure wouldn't be a problem to share with you.
Just on the off chance that the bride or her mom happen to see this post, "I swear I will come up with at least a few good ones for you"
OK, I'm off to go cry a little now.
Have a good week everyone.

Don't despair or beat yourself up Ann. I'm sure you have quite a few good photo's, it's the panic talking!!The one you posted looks great.
Let me know what sorts of problems you have or send me a couple of the photos and I'll have a look and see if I can help edit them.
Hugs
June
Try not to be too hard on yourself, Ann. I think this photo is great--I love the effect you've given it. I'm sure you have better photos than you think right now. :o)
I know this will be hard for you to hear and even harder to believe, but "this too shall pass"... it will!! Take a rest, take a nap, clear your thoughts (especially the negatives) and put it all aside until tomorrow. Then tackle it with a fresh start.
If I can look at some photos and be of help, I would love to.
Hugs to 'ya!
(((HUGS ))) We're always our own worst critic so get someone else to look at the photos and you will probably get positive feedback.
Ahhhhh.....Ann, you certainly never owe me a apology for anything!! We love you sweet heart!!
The one you have posted is very lovely. But, I know too that you are no dummy when it comes to digital issues. So I will take your word when you say most of them turned out blurry.
But, I just bet between June and you...wonders will transpire and everything will be fine!!
Awwwwww....I hate to think of you sitting there crying. Hey, you did the best you could and even with a DSLR, if the lighting was really really low, then you still would have needed a flash.
I have to agree with everyone else that most likely there are more good ones than what you think.
I just know it really will all be okay. So get some rest, read a book, or play zombie with some good old movies and that all will work out.
I have a good one to help you feel better!! True story I promise. My oldest had our other son-in-law do the entire wedding and reception with his video camera.
He did it alright, all through afternoon and into the late late night at the reception. There was only one problem. He did it all with no memory stick or something in it. So he got nada, zip, nothing!!
Feel better now? At least you did remember to put film in the camera!!
Hugs,
Jackie:-)
Thanks June I just may take you up on that offer.
Earthtoholly, I'm hoping that I do anyway. Maybe when I print them they won't look so bad. YIKES!....lol
Digivic yep this too shall pass. I haven't gone back to the photos today I've been playing solitaire....lol and I may take you up on that offer too :)
Judy I'm thinking maybe June or digivic may get some of them....lol
Jackie I can't tell you how much that means. You are just too sweet. And thanks bunches for the story, I can always tell the bride it could be worse, I could have gotten nothing....lol
If I remember correctly, you said you had never done wedding pictures before, and you were already unsure if you could do it. Just remember that you did your best.
Hey Ann, read my blog post - HOW TO FEEL MISERABLE AS AN ARTIST

I think we look at our work much more critical than others will. I'm sure the bride will be happy with the photos and see the love and joy of the day reflected in them rather than if they are studio perfect.
Thanks Ratty, you are right, I'll just chalk this up to a great big learning experience
Digivic i checked it out and left you a comment there
Beaded tail thanks, I already talked to her mother and she said she doesn't think her daughter is all that fussy because she saw her moms pics and was thrilled with them. (the mom said her pics were horrible)
