road trip

Happy Monday to all my bloggy friends. I trust you are all off to a splendid start to the week.
Why no, no I'm not taking any prescription drugs today. Why do you ask?
I was wondering if you would all like to take a little road trip with me today.
Hop in and I'll take you for a ride.

Lets take a little cruise around the park today. It's a beautiful sunshiney day and there's a car show going on.
Oh Look, there's one for sale.
Would you believe that they are asking $4600 for this one? I think I'll pass.
This one is nice though.

Are you hungry? Maybe we could see if that lady over there will wait on us.
She looks a little cranky. Poor girl has probably been on her feet all day.

We went to a car show yesterday if you didn't notice. I took way more pictures than this but this will do for now.

Car shows are so fun! Thanks to the movies in my drivers ed class back in high school, I'm terrified of riding in one though. Yeah, the movies were way outdated cause I'm not quite that old!

Ann, Your little road trip took me back to my childhood when you could take a pillow with you and have a nap on the back seat when going on long, long journeys. Everything done in a leisurely way including stopping by the side of the road and taking out the primus stove and boiling up a kettle to make a cup of tea - a break in the journey that sometimes led to frying up bacon and making bacon sandwiches .... can't believe what we used to do when we went out for the day - how times have changed!!!!!!

hum...if that rusty one is $4600, I wonder how much the red one is? Love the color.

That gal does look a little cranky. Perhaps she has had nothing but bad tippers all day. ;)

Love the old car shows. They have one here in August - combination classic cars and doo wop - one of the few fun things around here, I always go and takes tons of pictures. Love that dashboard!

I like the red car and the contemporary touch on it, those painted flames. It must be funny to see it on the road.

Great old cars. Love the old pickup. That ice cream Sundae looks good too. I bet that was great fun to go to the car show. Take care.

Haven't been to one of those in a really long time; thanks for sharing those shots.
I still remember asking one of the guys there how many bottles of electric pink nail polish it took to paint his whole car *giggle* (he was NOT amused ;o)

If I had an opportunity to go on a Sunday drive in that '34(?) Ford (the red one, with the flames), I don't think I would ever come back.

Those are some nice cars! My friend and his dad, when I was growing up, took an old truck like that and restored it. It was his birthday gift when he turned 16.
