If you want to be really good at something you have to practice. Duke and I worked on honing our lazy skills yesterday.
While Wade worked on the man cave Duke and I sat and watched. We didn't even care about all the saw dust on the rug.
Now being lazy requires snacks. We didn't have any snacks in the house so we made some chocolate chip cookies. Baking isn't being lazy so we made up for it by eating extra.
Back to lounging I found a pattern for crocheted Easter eggs so I thought I would try it out. I didn't want to appear too ambitious though so I only crocheted half an egg.
And that just about sums up our lazy day. Good thing I didn't do too much yesterday or I would be exhausted today. Especially since here in our part of the world we lost an hour of sleep due to the time change. I love spring but I hate it when the clocks spring ahead. Why do they have to do that on a weekend in the middle of the night? I think it should be done on a Monday, say around noonish. No one would mind losing an hour of their day on a Monday.

fantastic idea to do it at noon on a monday. how can we contact the THEY that does all this foolishness. thanks for my early am IN THE DARK laugh of the morning. the half and egg just made me ROFL love the sweet head on your foot. i loved this post and this is my kind of day. can't wait to see what you DON"T do today
Noon on Monday? Yesss! Awesome plan! I'm SO totally there... Where do I sign up? :-D
Oh I like that idea of springing forward with the clocks on Mon. Glad you had a lazy day. Those cookies look yummy. Ann I don't think I am on the Google reader any more because I am not a blogger blog. So have another lazy day today. Take care.
I feel inspired. Nope, it didn't last long.
Like your idea on changing the clocks.I am headed out for church and running on slow having only had 6 hours sleep.
Hello Ann!! I'm so glad you stopped by to pay me a visit. That way, I could stop by and meet with you. So, you're a crocheter too then, huh? I love this myself. In fact I found a pattern online of a 'fun thing' which I'm contemplating trying to do...maybe sometime soon. And wow....all I can say with those warm luscious cookies...."Got Milk"?!!! Awwwwwwwww, Duke.....I think I'm in love. What a sweet looking dog ---playing lazy along with you. SWEET.
Thanks for stopping by. As soon as I publish this comment, I'll go to your sidebar and become one of your newest followers.
ps....I'm not at the age they call retirees...I'm gonna refuse to set my clocks up this year. When we lived in AZ, there is no daylight savings...and I loved it. Now in Texas, I'm just gonna refuse to follow the government in telling me to set my clocks up. Actually, for me and hubby, there is no need. LOL
That's an awesome idea to change the time at noon on Mondays. Of course, living in Saskatchewan I don't have to worry about such things. ;)
Love your lazy day - especially the cookie baking. Ha!
xo Catherine
Well, Half an egg is better than No egg...Hahaaa...and I would like your hour idea until it came time to Fall Back...an Extra hour at work...ugggg.
hughugs
That's a brillant idea to lose an hour mid-way through a Monday! I second the motion! We slept in an extra hour to make up for the time change last night.
Love your take on the time change...
I'm with you on your time change. That would rock and then some. I'm glad that you and Duke had a great day being lazy. Those are awesome days indeed.
Have a terrific short Sunday. My best to Duke. :)
Great idea about noon on Mondays! Your yesterday sounds like a nice relacing day. Anything with chocolate chip cookies is good to me. :) Hope you're having a fun Sunday!
Half an egg - LOL! Good thing you didn't wear yourself out and do the other half yesterday! Thanks for the giggle!
Not to brag or anything, but I think I hold the world record on laziness! Your first mistake was baking these insanely Delicious looking cookies, as you are not supposed to even move. When I start teaching lazy lessons, I will give you a discount. Oh, wait, teaching would be too industrious and ruin my image, best just to snuggle down even deeper into the couch with my chocolate cake and go into a dreamy funk. Your idea about Monday ROCKS!!! When can we go to the white house and petition for it?
Good idea and yum!
Sounds like you had an excellent weekend.....we don't move our clocks for another two weeks yet but I am with you on the Monday noon time change...I think that should happen all over the world...but only at the start of spring of course!!
Draw up a petition for noon on Monday and we'll all sign! :) I love lazy days. Lucky you. Lucky Duke. :)
Ann those cookies look delish! So do you use Crisco in your recipe? sandie
Heehee good idea then I can eat lunch sooner! I hate it too. I felt like a slug all day.
Hahaha! I like your theory on the time change! I'm gonna try that--losing my hour on a Monday afternoon! :) That's a good one.
Glad to see you are relaxing too. I was working on that myself. :)
Tomorrow I can be lazy! (even though I probably won't be)
Lazy days are the best. It's great that you have Duke to be lazy with you.
Noonish on Monday = perfect!
I know it's only anhour...but losing it messes me up for a week.
oh, those cookies must be yummy! if everyday could just be like that...
crocheting easter eggs shouldn't be too hard, but getting the M&Ms out of them is tough!
