A few little things

I've managed to do a few little crafty things recently. These were all pretty quick and simple projects.

First is the other version on the fabric ornament that I did recently. I liked these too but I think I preferred the other version better.

I picked up some $1.00 candle jars at Wal-Mart and added a strip of homespun fabric, tied some jute around them and then finished them off with buttons and a little greenery on the one

I also picked up a few packs of those really cheap plastic candy canes at Dollar Tree. I wrapped some with homespun and others with jute twine.

I had a go at making my own rusty jingle bells. I don't think I did it quite right or maybe I just didn't leave them in the mix long enough but I used them anyway. They are after all a little rusted.

And that would be it for right now. I'm also working on a wreath and hopefully I'll finish it. With me though, you never can tell.

It's 5.30 in the morning here. I couldn't sleep last night. Guilty conscience. Please tell Duke I have changed my mind about Sadie and the kennel. I knew I would.
Very nice craftwork Ann.

Love all your creation! The candles are a great idea and your rusty bells look pretty perfect to me! I made some jute covered canes too...my daughter-in-law claimed them immediately! :)

comment below from NON crafter.
I like the jute cane the bestest of the two, the candles are a great idea. so here is the non crafters part of the comment.
So What are you going to DO with these? gifts? decorations? you are talking to a person who keeps her tree in a bag so i can plug and play... waiting to see the wreathe, and i know where that goes.

I don't know I kinda like the double button ones better...it's all in the fabric tho and the way it's folded - I do like more white showing, for contrast.

I realize that rusted jingle bells are a part of "the look" but if those came my way I would be polishing the bells...part of my compulsive cleaning thing I guess...LOL

Love your ideas, Ann... There are so many ways to give nice homemade gifts at Christmas --which don't cost much... I have been on a rant lately--griping about how much people spend at Christmas... Unbelievable!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

You are so crafty. I would look at all that stuff and not be visionary enough to figure out how to put it together. I think every one of these things are adorably cute.

Have a terrific day. My very best to Duke. :)

These are all awesomly gorgeous! You know I just love seeing your crafts! One is better than the next. I love your snow pictures with the pine tree, but glad for you that it is gone. Did Duke like it?

A few?!? Little?!? It would take me 2 weeks to make each of these. Great job! They are adorable. I love them!

I also love your new (to me) Christmas theme on the blog. Sweet!

I see that you are preparing for the coming apocalypse. For each one of those could be easily made into a weapon.

The fabric strips are such a great simple touch for the candles. Fun projects!

I would have had naked candles and plain plastic candy canes since I wouldn't have the crafty vision you do. Everything looks fabulous!

It's all looking good! Can you come over and help me decorate, LOL?
