It's not easy being me sometimes

I'm trying I really am. I have good intentions but it's just not easy. Eating right and giving up things like diet coke may make me feel better in the end but it's tough when you have a craving.

I was in the store and seriously thought about buying a candy bar. Yes, I want it. No, you don't need it. But it's just a little candy bar. That's just a little more cushion to add to your butt.

SIGH!

So what's a girl to do when she wants a candy bar and she knows she shouldn't have it?
She takes the whole darn rack home with her, that's what she does.
Since they would have frowned upon me taking the actual rack home, I took a picture of it. It's almost like taking candy home with me and as long as I take my phone wherever I go I'll always have a stash of candy bars in my purse. It's not quite as satisfying but it will have to do

I can have treats like candy, cake, or a cookie. Just eat a small amount with your breakfast. And I lost almost 100 pounds doing this.

I was at the store today, too . . . only I did buy the candy bar. It was a Twix and it tasted heavenly :)
I'm very proud of you, you had more will power that I. Good Girl!

Oh sweet! Are you willing to share and thus half your guilt and the size of a certain cushion?!!! Haha!

The more you deny yourself, the more you are going to want it. See if they have them in bite size and eat one--if you have the willpower.

Or just eat a candy bar and eat half.

That is very good of you to resist that candy bar. It just isn't fair how they put those candy bars in the check out lane where you have plenty of time to drool. Take care.

ha ha on taking the whole rack... i have fought sugar addiction my whole life, one piece and i am off to the races.. most people can eat one candy bar and stop, if i had this rack i could eat all of it in 3 days time or less.. good luck with the battle....

Resisting is no fun so I just opt for a treat a week. If I tell myself I can't have something then it's all I'm going to think about. Life's too short!

Find alternatives to this. There are snacks you can have that are alternatives and won't create issues for you. Look at the fun you'll have searching for them.

Have a terrific day. My best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Haha- candy bars don't tempt me too often but I get frustrated at work and use the vending machine way too often.

What Lin said. Nothing will derail a healthy eating pattern faster than deprivation. Portion control is your very best friend. The mini or bite size candy 'bars' are the answer. I buy them because I am lactose intolerant and an entire Snickers bar will make me nauseous. But one or two mini's? Perfect. I get the candy I crave without the stomach upset. And oh yes, BTW - keeps the calories under control. Seriously, Ann, it's the only way to go. Happy, happy all around.

I know exactly what you mean, I have been craving cookies. Sugar cookies to be exact. I think I may need to cheat a bit, I mean I can give it up for Lent in a few weeks.
Hugs,
Antonella :-)
