Beetlejuice

Normally my pool is where I find all the beetles but on this particular day they were chowing down at a local eatery

Apparently they liked the cuisine

Did you know that beetles have been around for 270 million years? They can live in any climate and can range in size from microscopic to about 100 grams which is equal to  a little over 3 1/2 pounds.

A 3 and 1/2 lb. beetle might be a little scary. We have huge swarms of beetles that come here every so often. And they do a lot of damage as we can see in your pictures.
Have a great day Ann.

I do not ever, ever want to see a 3.5 pound beetle. Not under any circumstances.

Have a fabulous Sunday. My best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I despise those Japanese beetles. Nasty little creatures.

Ewwwww, kinda creepy. But colorful boogers!!

They get in your pool? I wouldn't like that. Hey, now that you mention pool....will Gibbs have his own pool lounger like Duke?

Those look a lot like what we called June Bugs that always showed up in mass around the first of August down here every summer. As kids, we would tie a string to one of their legs and hold onto it while they tried to fly away. Between that and placing fireflies in a jar, it is wonder that we did not produce more psychopaths than we did (in accordance to current expert opinions).

Those are some hungry bugs. I like the shimmery colors on their wings.
