Andover Craft Show 2016

The moment you've all been waiting for (or not). Let me tell you it was one VERY hot weekend. They changed the size of the spaces and although we kept the same space number everyone was shifted down a bit so the shade we used to have we no longer did. I spent the majority of Saturday in the sun. I left the house at 6:45 am and didn't get home until around 8:30 pm. I was burnt and very tired. Sunday I took advantage of any little bit of shade I could get and tried to avoid the sun

Oh our booth. This is the setup. We changed our look from previous years. We went with black table covers topped with a tan and then burlap. We also added the back curtain which was 2 red tablecloths and a tan sheet. The rug was also a new addition as was the checkout stand located at the front left of the booth

A closer look at some of my items.

I didn't sell one single Angel although plenty people looked at and commented on them. Another booth also had the same type of angel except hers were all glass and had various items used for the body and wings. Hers were $25 each and mine were $7.  My post it note clip boards didn't sell very well either. I thought they would be a great idea and at $3 would have made a nice little gift. I did sell a few plaques and almost all of my paint stick scarecrows.
All in all, money wise, I actually did better than in past years.

On Sunday I got there earlier than I needed to so I could get some walking in before we got started. I took the camera with me and snapped a few pictures while I walked. I'll show you those tomorrow

Your set up looks so good, Ann! Everything is presented so nicely! At least you did come away better off money wise but burnt out!

I like the sign at the entrance of your booth and I love that your items have a cohesive look!

It's good to hear that you actually made more cash profits!!! That's ALWAYS great.

Everything looks great. I am thinking low sales might have been due to the Heat. People are not thinking of gifts when it's too hot to think. I can see why you were hot the sun could go under that tent

I always love looking at your shows!! And you have made your pictures so nice and big that I don't even have to click to see the details. I guess the scarecrows sold so well because fall is coming. But for the life of me I cannot understand why more people didn't buy other things. And your prices were a real bargain! I would have bought several. Maybe the heat made people rather dim witted! Your booth was so attractive with so much to see. i would have been in Heaven!

I loved the post-it note clip boards - people are so unimaginative. The angels were pretty (tho I have no idea what they would be used for - you know me, I'm all about practical). How did the magnet sell? I love me some refrigerator magnets, can't function without them.

I'm glad you did better money wise. That's always a good thing. What a long day though. Wow, really long.

Love your booth. Very nicely done.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

What was your big seller this year?

Your booth was very nice and inviting! Glad you did better than years past. It's so hard to predict what people will buy.

People are weird in what they will buy. I gave up doing craft shows long ago. I apparently have no ability to figure out what people want.

Congratulations on your success Ann, the booth looked great! It's funny what sells and what doesn't, I'd have thought the angels and clip boards would have been hot (no pun intended!) sellers. Deb xo

Hi Ann, Everything looks so good---so inviting. Glad you did better than previous years... It's interesting to think about what people want to buy... The things one would think they would like, they don't buy... Maybe some of the people are just looking at everything to get ideas to make themselves...?????

Sorry about no shade... It's been hotter than HOT here lately --and we are SO dry... I am glad though that you didn't have any rain either day of the show...

Hope you can get caught up a little. I always feel that way after we've been on a trip... I always say that I need a vacation to get OVER the vacation.. ha

Hugs,
Betsy
