Short and sweet

Just a real quick post today since yesterday I wanted to get the lawn mowed after I got home from work. Starting today the temps are supposed to start going way up so I had to get the lawn done before it got too bad.

That's the look I get when I say "No, you can't have another treat, you just had one." He has a serious addiction to treats. I normall give him one when I have to pen him up if I'm leaving or at night when I go to bed. He also gets one when he comes back in from doing his business. Lately, every time I come out of the bathroom he makes a beeline to the treat cupboard. I keep trying to tell him he gets treats when he goes, not when I go. Silly dog.

That is so funny! Dogs & cats are smarter than we think when it comes to wanting their way.

Have a good Friday and weekend ~ FlowerLady

silly pup and so adorable... when Jake wants a treat and we feel he should not have the calories, we give him a green bean, I keep a container of beans in fridge. no fat, healthy and he loves them.... they know how to Work Us.. for sure

Great photo of Gibbs! Frankie has become a treat junkie since her dental surgery - they are soft and easy to chew. The bag is on a side counter/cabinet and when she wants some she opens and slams the door of the cabinet. So endearing (Not!)

Aren't they the silliest? But SMART! Course you all know that mine has me wrapped around their little paws. Dakota and Lily get treats at night, Dakota will come and tell me when it is time for them. Lily hears me call her for treats and she runs to the living Great pic of Gibbs. I hope he is adjusting well to the change with Wade gone.

He's a cutie pie, but too many treats aren't good for him. It won't stop him from trying for more.

Have a woof woof day, Gibbs. A big healing hug for your mom. ♥♥♥

My take: Gibbs is grieving too. Pass him the empathy...and the treats. And make it a DOUBLE!

I'm quite thankful that Gibbs does not know how to get the cupboard door open

Gibbs thinks that any time I get up I"m going for the treat cupboard.

Ann said...

Try telling him that. Wade is the one who spoiled him. He would give him 2 or 3 at a time.

Gibbs likes the sound of that. He would be your best friend.

He says it every chance he gets. Non verbally of course

Angel gets on the nightstand whenever I come near our bedroom because there's treats in there. I've created a monster. She thinks Gibbs should get treats anytime he wants them.

Skye is the same way. She bothers me all day for treats. Finally at the end of the day she will go eat the food in her bowl!
