She gave me 3 more days worth of antibiotic and said that if the glands aren't better by the first of the year, they'll do a sonagram. As for the neck issue, she said the x-ray showed quite a lot of arthritus so that would be the problem and not a pinched nerve. She changed my anti-inflamatory from Meloxicam to Celebrex. Hopefully that will help.
On to something different, I've got a few things sitting out on my kitchen counter.
This can sit out all winter since it's more winter than Christmas. I made the sock snowman and the wood snowman. The snowflake box candle holder I bought a couple years ago.
This snowman teapot has been around for quite a while. Usually it stays in the cabinet where I have a whole bunch of other snowmen. This year I thought he might like to come out and celebrate with me.

These are adorable winter things! Thanks for your health update. Where is the arthritis, your back? Both Phil & I have just been diagnosed with arthritis of the spine. I hope the new medicine helps. I think you have to stand on your feet so much!
Go see a chiropractor....the “hands on” kind for the neck pain. I swear by mine! Medical doctors give you medications instead of fixing the displaced bone that’s causing the pain. Ask around about who to go to.
Feel better soon...

Thanks for the health update dear Ann. I pray that you will have some relief from the pain. I would google natural ways of healing. JMHO. Medical doctors are all to quick to prescribe meds that have all kinds of side effects.
Your snowman teapot is adorable.
Weather here this morning is breezy, gray with rain off and on, and warm.
Have a nice Friday ~ FlowerLady
LOVE the snowman teapot. he is precious with his tree tail.... I would leave him out all winter to.... I have the same issue with my neck. try the Arnigel made from arnica. it works pretty good for mine. also since I started using the travel pillow while at the desk top mine is much better... the arthritis will be there, but tilting head side to side or up makes it hurt worse.
I have a friend that has a small tree that she decorates for each holiday. It's ever so cute. I like it that you're keeping winter out.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
I think your sock creations are the most fun - my Percy and Isidore never cease to delight me!
I like your snowman décor. ^^
I hope the Celebrex helps. Your decorations are so cute and I love the teapot!
Hope the meds help you feel better. Inflammation can be a pain in the neck. LOL! Sorry for the pun but it made me giggle. :) Your decorations are super cute! I have a snowman on the front porch so he's staying out there awhile too even though we hardly get any snow.
I do hope that you get to feeling better very soon. Hopefully your sweet snowmen will help to cheer you up. They are adorable.
God bless you,
Connie :)
I have arthritus in my hand, back, hip and now my neck. The first three aren't so bad, my neck is where it's the worst.
I just read on another blog that someone had been thinnking about doing that with a tree
Thanks. I had planned on doing some more this year but it hasn't been a very productive year for crafting. Maybe next year I'll get back into the swing
Thanks. I have a bit of a soft spot for snowmen
LOL, you don't even want to know what I had been saying about my pain in the neck.
Snowmen are good all winter long and even better if they are the non melting kind
Meloxicam (generic for Mobic) is notorious for causing swollen glands, Ann. :-( Both Mobic and Celebrex are also notorious for causing heart problems. My dr ordered Celebrex for me too, quite awhile ago, and I never filled the prescription after talking to my pharmacist. Please be careful, my friend. I love your snowman decorations, especially the sweet teapot. It's nice to have them out all winter... brightens up the world a little bit during the cold winter months. Lots of love, Andrea xoxo
Love the snowmen and I have small collection. Meloxicam is what my hubby takes and One of the comments about it. I find interesting.
Coffee is on
That's quite interesting. I had heard that Meloxicam was also a blood thinner but had not heard the rest. I've probably been taking the Meloxicam for a little over a year now. Thanks for the info
I love the cheery decorations, and hope you get some relief from the pain. You've been through so much and I appreciate your upbeat posts.
Thanks. I have a bit of a soft spot for snowmen.
I try to keep the blog the happy place
