Fall flower

This flower wont wilt. It's another free cut file. I don't recall where I got it from and I'm too lazy to look it up.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I was trying to jump start my crafting mojo. It stalled out right after I made the flower.

I'm out of blog material and spending my Friday evening hanging out with Tom Selleck binge watching Blue Bloods.

More eyes

This time I found eyes in my bowl of chocolate frosting at work. I pulled off the lid and it looked like alien eyes staring back at me.

What kind of eggs are they?

Monday morning I cracked a couple eggs into a pan for my breakfast. A couple seconds later I began to wonder just what kind of eggs were they.

 They were sold as chicken eggs but after looking at them in the pan I'm wondering if they weren't owl eggs. All it needs is a beak. What do you think?

sunday morning

On Sundays I start work at 5 a.m. . This past Sunday was no different than any other. At least the beginning wasn't any different. Around 6:50 a.m. the lights flickered several times and then went out. The four of us who were in the store at the time ended up sitting in the back parking lot for the next 3 hours waiting for the lights to come on.

We chatted, played on our phones and were entertained by the birds. My boss always throws stale breads out from the bakery to feed them and they were all out there ready to eat. I couldn't get a very good picture but you get the idea.

It's tea time

I recently downloaded a free file from Simply crafty SVG. Com for a teapot card. Saturday I had time to play in my craft room and made this card.

 

The inside has a spot to hold a tea bag.

A whole lot going on.

On my way to work the other morning I noticed a flag in the pharmacy window. It was all all done in lights. Since I was sitting at the stoplight I pulled out my cell phone to take a picture of it.

 This was the first picture that I took. When I looked at it on my phone later I noticed all kinds of reflections in the picture. You can see a reflection of the store on the opposite corner. There's also a reflection of different things inside my car.

I zoomed in to take another picture of the flag. It's not a great picture but you can tell what it is.

What is 123 cake

 There were some questions the other day on my post wanting to know what the 123 cake in a cup mix was. What you do is take and angel food cake mix and any other flavor cake mix, any brand and mix the two together. You put that in an airtight container and then when you want some cake you put 3 tablespoons of cake mix in a cup, add 2 tablespoons of water, and microwave for 1 minute. You can either turn the cake out of the cup or eat it right from the cup. To make sure this works you have to use the angel food cake mix that only has one bag in the box. If you use the kind that has two bags in the Box this won't work. Before putting your cake in the microwave you can also add a few chocolate chips or a couple little blobs of peanut butter. Someone also asked if it tastes good. I wouldn't say it's a cake that is to die for but it doesn't taste bad. The nice thing is you get to have some cake and there's not a whole lot of calories involved.

Working in the craft room

I tore my craft room apart last Monday. I've been wanting to rearrange things and move my desk. I got started and discovered that where I wanted to put my desk just wasn't going to work. I put the desk back and then started working on the rest of the room. I had a white folding table that was more of a collection / dump site for things that needed put away rather than a work surface. I decided it had to go. I considered going out and buying shelves to put next to my Cricut cart but then realized I had a desk in another room that would work perfectly

 hopefully this Arrangement will work better and I'll keep it cleaner.

Cheeseburger is retiring

I took a cake order recently and the woman told me what she wanted it to say. I cant remember the original name but she changed her mind and said make it congratulations cheeseburger. I asked if she wanted flowers and she said how about leaves. Then i suggested trees and she said go for it

When she came to pick it up she handed the girl who gave it to her a ten dollar bill. The girl said we cant take that and the lady said why not its awesome and then she walked away. We arent allowed to take tips but there's not much you can do when someone puts the money down and walks away

A birthday gift

I put together a little bithday gift the other day. I bought a plain white mug and added the vinyl decal. 

Next i put some 1 2 3 cake in a cup mix in an old peanut butter jar then added a label to the front and an instruction label on the back

Since I'm scrounging for posts why not use these. I thought Sandras looked like her but mine I don't see the resemblance

Clarification

Just to explain a bit why I try to blog every single day. When I first started blogging, it was to keep my brain occupied. When I tend to get upset or depressed about something I will withdraw and sit and vegetate. I decided that the best therapy was to make myself do a blog post every day. It forced me to use my brain and to find something around me that was positive. So it's not a matter of whether or not I have something to say, it's about finding something to say. It's about looking for the good. 

Lately I've been feeling down. I feel isolated and lonely. So even though I say I don't feel like blogging, blogging is exactly what I need to do. I'll muddle through using facebook finds, old pictures and photos borrowed from Presley's mom. One of these days I'll eventually get my act back together and be more cheerful. Until then, I'll just fake it until I make it.

To blog or not to blog

 That is the question. I want to but blogging, along with a lot of other things, is a real struggle lately.

For today, this is as good as I can do.

And here I thought I was observant

 Yesterday I posted the pictures of the two orders and the cakes that went with them. Grace made the comment:

Love the confetti details on Emma's cake (Also Yellow, Chocolate and MABLE ? LOL) 

Say what? 

I went and looked and sure enough, the option on the order form is for mable not marble

Do you know how long we have been using this order form?  Probably at least 15 years, maybe more. No one has ever noticed that. 

Now I will never be able to unsee that Grace.

Wednesday was my 10 hour day at work and by the time I get home and have dinner the day is pretty much over. Yesterday was only an 8 hour day but when I came home I had to mow the lawn. It was way over due thanks to the rain we've been getting . When the mowing was done I needed to trim back the forsythia on the side of my house. By then it was time to make dinner and again the day is pretty much over. After work today I have a couple errands to run and by the time I get home, you guessed it, time to make dinner and the day is pretty much over.

I've made this card before but I decided to give it a try again. This is a free design from awesome SVG. Com

The front is a bit plain. Also my fine tip pen was dried out and I had to use the medium point. My cricut machine drew the cake. I colored it with colored pencils.

The inside of this card is where it's all going on.
