A stroll down memory lane

I was at my daughters house for dinner on Saturday. After we were done eating she pulled out a box of old pictures and was going through them. I snapped a picture of a couple of them with my phone. These made me realuze how really old I am.
This one I was about 23. I had just gotten a perm and the ex snapped a picture of me next to my curly headed daughter
Fast forward to about 2006 and I was 44. This is another one taken shortly after I had gotten my hair permed. Not only would I like to look that young again but I would like to be that thin again

I think you look better the older you get! You are gorgeous in the last picture.

Awwww Ann.... I love both these pictures! They're wonderful. I think you're just as cute now as you were back then. You haven't changed much at all. Honestly! Love, Andrea xoxo

I love your pictures. It will be fun for Presley to view these pictures as she gets older.

Awww, come on, you're just as thin looking now as you were back then. Personally for me, I like being my age. Going back in time would mean I have to live thru what I lived thru...again. Love the perms.

I like looking at photos from the past not necessarily of myself though but I do like looking at photos of other people. I was at my thinnest when I was 40 dentist in my whole life so I wish I was that size too but and I wouldn't even mind being 40. The thing is now I feel ancient because when you were 44 in 2006 I was retiring at age 62 yowza I could be your mother. Noooooo

Oh. My, you were pretty...but it is more than just what you look like physically, but it is the laughter and the fun in your eyes.

I have a few pictures of me when my hair was permed and very curly! I can't imagine anymore!

Ah, the good old days! It's funny...I was just thinking about perms. I wonder if anyone does that anymore?

Grace, These days I could care less if my hair is straight or not. I live on a loop between work and home. At work my hair is in a hat and at home no one sees it but the dog and he doesn't care.

CheerfulMonk, it's always fun looking back

Ginny, thanks. I think I stopped looking better in my 40's and now it's just all down hill

Andrea, well I'm a whole lot grayer and a whole lot fatter now than I was in either of these pictures.

Anni, I've got you fooled. I'm about 45 pounds heavier now than I am in that last picture. I've put on a lot of weight and wear clothes that will disguise it the most.

Lin, good on some days and not so good on others...lol I don't know if perms are a trend now or not. I'll have to ask my sons fiance. I think now the big thing is all the different colors.

Yes we all get to go through this if we live long enough. You were thin indeed. I was too. I've got 15 extra pounds and I can't seem to get rid of them. Sigh.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I don't think I've seen your hair as dark as that first pic so I wouldn't have recognized you! I used to get perms in high school but as I got older, my hair got curlier naturally. Now I wish I could straighten it! Why is it we want what we no longer have? *sigh*

I love seeing old photos. I have a meme called Throwback Thursday, would love to have you link up this post this week. I hear you on wishing you looked that young and thin again - I'm right there with you!

Isn't it fun, and sometimes bittersweet, to look back at old photos? I think we would all like to look young and thin again. You were just beautiful!!! xo Diana

Time marches on whether we like it or not. I agree I'd like to be "thin" again too. - Fun seeing your younger self.
