Clarification

Just to explain a bit why I try to blog every single day. When I first started blogging, it was to keep my brain occupied. When I tend to get upset or depressed about something I will withdraw and sit and vegetate. I decided that the best therapy was to make myself do a blog post every day. It forced me to use my brain and to find something around me that was positive. So it's not a matter of whether or not I have something to say, it's about finding something to say. It's about looking for the good.

Lately I've been feeling down. I feel isolated and lonely. So even though I say I don't feel like blogging, blogging is exactly what I need to do. I'll muddle through using facebook finds, old pictures and photos borrowed from Presley's mom. One of these days I'll eventually get my act back together and be more cheerful. Until then, I'll just fake it until I make it.

For me, you still have your act, and your posts are as good as ever. This is a really good reason to have a blog! I always enjoy visiting you at the end of the day and seeing what you have bene up to, even if it's not much. This picture of presely is one of the most joyful pictures I have ever seen. Of course it gave me a HUGE smile; and for that I thank you.

I am sorry you feel lonely. Hopefully things will get better. I started blogging back in 2000 at my first webpage. Then I started a blog in 2002 until 2019 at my website blog. Blogger is easier so I switched over. I agree, blogging helps are minds and lets us connect with others. Take care.

I'm so sorry you have been feeling lonely and Isolated. It took a pandemic to bring me back to blogging and I did for the same reasons. It has really helped me feel connected. I play on a lot of the link ups, it gives me something to blog about and helps me get to know more about the people I follow and they get to know me better too. It keeps mt brain active too. You can find the links on my posts if you are interested. Give some a try! :)

These are difficult times too. So many restrictions to deal with. That doesn't help either. I'm glad you're here to stay.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Oh, Presley looks like she is having a ball. I can understand your actual need to blog. I guess I sort of blog for the same reason. Roger does not talk much, and seldom any real discussion. Shoot, it is hard for him to tell me what he wants to eat. And I am not exaggerating. So I talk through my blog.

That saying has been around in our family for many a year.... fake it til you can make it.
My younger sister once applied for a job as a window dresser... she didn't have a clue what it entailed, but she figured she could make the women's wear window look better than whoever was doing it at the time. She was just past 16 ... and, soon...she was travelling to several stores in the district to do their windows too. That was her motto when she applied. Well, it was her motto forever.....

I use it too... but, not nearly as brazenly as she did and still does..... but, I do try to remember it often.

It's a crappy time right now.... for us all... that's another one to remember.... "we're all in this together"... because we surely are!

sending you a hug.....
Vee

I never blogged everyday but I'm thankful for a few of the groups I join in and post. Then I have James and some jokes. Otherwise nothing is going on here being shut in. I guess I could go outside and take some pictures of flowers. We do need to blog. I'm also pushing myself to read posts. That too I've been struggling with. You're doing a good job. That photo is too cute and it looks so refreshing!

Ginny, well thanks

Anni, this picture just screams pure joy to me.

Susan, it's ok, goes with living alone I guess...lol

Sandee, they sure are

Grace, thanks, it's another one from their photographer neighbor. I do remember that commercial and that is how I'm feeling.

Blogging is essential for my mental health too. And it doesn't have to be much...in fact, for you, it should be as easy as possible. Anything, a simple "Hi!" or "Still here" would do if you're tired. You mean a lot to us and we feel connected when you post something.

Take care!

Thanks for the clarification - and why you blog. May you continue to do what is best for you - be it muddling along as we all seem to be doing right now... and you've in good company :-)

Good on you for struggling through however best suits you. ~hugs~ I keep meaning to blog more often but yard and garden work keep me too busy! Heh... Right before reading your kind comment I was out collecting tomatoes and cucumbers. And earlier I mowed the lawn. Whew... I'm ready for autumn. Be well, my dear.

Now a days I think everyone feels some sort of drowning effect. This world is going to hell in that hand basket we all heard about and trying to keep your head above water is not easy. Hang in there.

CheerfulMonk my posts have gotten a lot more simple than they used to be. I've been going shorter all the time

Catherine, your welcome. I didn't want everyone to think that I didn't enjoy it because I do

Darla, I wish I had the ambition to get out and do yard work and gardening.

Pam, I think you're right. I find that it makes living alone a little bit more lonely.
