And here I thought I was observant

Yesterday I posted the pictures of the two orders and the cakes that went with them. Grace made the comment:

Love the confetti details on Emma's cake (Also Yellow, Chocolate and MABLE ? LOL)

Say what?

I went and looked and sure enough, the option on the order form is for mable not marble

Do you know how long we have been using this order form?  Probably at least 15 years, maybe more. No one has ever noticed that.

Now I will never be able to unsee that Grace.

To tell you how dumb I am I saw the word Mabel but I didn't even think of the word marble I thought of maple I thought it was a misspelling of Maple and wondered what color maple was an or if it was a flavor

Second thought is we are also used to what autocorrect does that we don't pay any attention to things that are misspelled we know what it means and we just go forward from there this really is funny

I'm sorry LOL But you know me, I can't avoid missing the forest for the trees. Details are my stock in trade and having been an editor and proofreader makes me a PITA. I saw 'mable' immediately and then thought 'maple' and then finally got to 'marble'...

Grace is awesome, isn't she? Just about as observant a person as I know. Leave it to Grace to find the "mable". *lol* I loved those cakes, by the way. I wish I lived closer, Ann, cos I'd place orders for cakes with you all the time. Love, Andrea xoxo

I hate to think what passes in front of my eyes that I do not notice...if it wouldn't take so long I could tell you two things now that I am really embarrassed to admit.

I did see the "Mable" but because you have so many different things to what I have in New Zealand, I thought you would just know what that was...

Just so your readers understand our differences, over on Cheerful Monk, she is talking about squirrels and chipmunks again - we have neither animal in New Zealand. But she was talking about a rabbit, we have those creatures...some more wild, some domesticated. We don't have snakes either...

haha....I so love things like this cause you shake your head and think about the fact you have been using it that LONG! That is to freak'n funny. Funny for me when I was cleaning out files at work a couple of weeks ago and there were files that dated back to when I was there...I left in 2008. Prob this clean out will take all that away. I actually could not remember the day I started with Photo Services in 2004 but its okay cause I found the 2004 calendar. HAHA ....I was able to look back to when I wrote the first apt. for the photographers on the calendar and found that I started on or right around April 14, 2004! Course that was before we had a calendar on the computer and a really nice program for billing...that by the way is the same program I use today. FUNNY.....
