just rambling

Happy June everyone. Can you believe we are already starting the 6th month of the year already? Today I just have some random thoughts for you

Even though I had to work on my day off yesterday it really wasn't all that bad. I was done by 9:45. The store was not all that busy while I was there so I was able to get my work done quickly.

Ginny asked me the other day how soon before I can retire. Well I'm only 59 so I do have a few years left.

Hopefully it won't be long before I can show you progress on the room formerly known as the man cave. I had said that I was turning the man cave into the Ann cave and Amanda's fiancĂ© suggested it be called the  she lair.

It wasn't all that long ago that I was telling you about are 80 and 90 degree weather. The last several days the temperature has been way cooler than that. Actually cold enough that the furnace was kicking on.

Well I'm out of thoughts for the evening so I'll end here, and schedule this for the morning.

We had the same cold, and the heat kept turning on all night. You may have a long time to retire, but that also means you are still young!!

I like the name "she lair." We're looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Yep I'm on the same page as She Lair but you could also consider Blokettes Lair

So happy to hear you had an easy day working on your day off. I'm leaning towards 'ann cave'
Did you go look a sofa? Did you find a sofa? When will the Anne cave be ready?

Well phooey I am old enough to be your mother! And because I'm old enough to be your mother I can believe that were in the six months because time is on Fast Forward

Glad your day at work yesterday wasn't so bad. I like Ann Cave, it's perfect. Of course you will make a sign that says that too if that's what you decide to call it, right? I wish the weather would make up it's mind, it seems crazy everywhere!

I like that name and I bet it will be awesome when you're done!

Like you, I'm still a ways off from retiring, although there are days when I'd like to just ditch it all.

Glad you are changing up the room to be what you want it to be! Have fun with that!

I can't wait to see what you're doing with the former man cave. I'm sure it's going to be your craft cave.

We're in a heatwave. Yesterday it was 102 and today it's going to cool down to 101.

I'm glad work went okay yesterday.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

But wouldn't your house be a she lair? Oh wait, you have a male living among you, Gibbs! I have all females. We have had some really strange spring weather, those spring winters are hanging on a tad longer then normal. I think the one we had a few days ago are our last. Shorts one day, thick winter clothes the next and back to shorts the next....although we are still keeping the temps down. I just am not ready to start MELTING.....Retirement is great, I was able to do it at 55 but then I got bored, hence the reason I went back.....

I just came inside because our temps are reaching 100 today. Got what little yard work I planned done and behind me for the day. I'm hoping to have time to quilt. Don't know if you're working today or not, guessing that you are . . . hopefully on your next day off, you'll not be asked to work. Keep smiling, Connie :)

The "she lair"... I like it! *haha* Yes, our weather is crazy too. Furnace one day, air-conditioner a couple days later, and back again. We've got high 80s to 90 coming this weekend. In the middle of winter that thought always excites me... but here in the beginning of June, not so much. ~Andrea xoxoxo
