You'll notice that there is a second one up in the left-hand corner. The lighter pink one is my first attempt. The first thing I noticed that I did wrong was that I layered them in the wrong order and the brown sprinkles didn't show up because I buried them under another layer. And then came the second mistake.
Somewhere in the process of making this I laid one of the layers back down on a backing paper. The problem was I set it down on the wrong side of the backing paper. One side has a shiny coating so that the vinyl can be easily lifted. There was just no way to get that paper off of there.
Second attempt I made it a little smaller because I was short on materials. I didn't even have enough of the light pink so had to go with the darker pink
This is just proof that not all my crafty endeavors come out looking great the first time around.

This is so cool to put on the donut case!! I love it!! What? You? Make mistakes? Never, I don't bleieve it!
What a great idea. We figure mistakes are part of the learning process.
With my mistakes, I find the eraser is my best friend. Actually, I like the darker pink better.
This is so sweet! I believe in mistakes, they make crafting personal. We are not machines.

with crafting it is hard to undo mistakes, with digital art i have an eraser like annie has, i am sure it is rare for you to make mistakes, and this one turned out well... the way you describe it made me think this was a crafting who's on first with abbot and costello. or maybe the 3 stooges but there was only ONE, ha ha,, I love this and so will the customers
Love the dark pink donut and this is a great idea - just bet the customers will appreciate it, too. Mistakes - how do we move forward without mistakes - sadly, not everyone admits to making them. ^^
The final one turned out great though, love it! :)
Love the second one. Perfect. That would make me laugh if I saw this in the bakery department.
Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
3rd time's a charm, as they always say, Ann. Your final product is absolutely darling... and I like the darker pink frosting on the donut better. It shows up more. ~Andrea xoxoxo
It's never fun when we have issues with something we are working on. Sorry about that but the new one looks great!
some mistakes can never be fixed - but I love in a way having mistakes, because an "expert will always point them out" - because even though they couldn't even begin to make, they know someone who has all the answers...
I remember when I was a handweaver and I production wove a whole series of scarves where the threading was wrong - it didn't make any difference. I loved having the "expert weavers" try to find out what the pattern threading was. I would just say "twill variation"
