I love the peonies that are in my front yard. They never last very long though. I rarely get to enjoy them for more than a day before the rain comes and they are done for.

They are gorgeous; so big and round. And so many petals!
They are so pretty! It is a shame that they aren't a super "hardy" flower, but glad you get to enjoy them when you do!

Your peonies are the same color as mine, Ann. And you're right, they never last very long at all. We had quite a bit of rain when mine were in bloom this year & they seemed to last even less than usual. Pooey. Sometimes I cut them and put them in a vase but I didn't this year. ~Andrea xoxo

those petals are even prettier than rose petals to me, I am thinking these should be used in weddings to drop down the aisle, minus the ants of course... even the plant is beautiful without the big blooms

They sure are pretty flowers! I had a beautiful peony bush at my other house. I wish now I would have picked a few blooms every year and brought them in the house to enjoy!
