Sorry I didn't post sooner. I have no good excuse. I went to the eye doctor on Thursday and by the time I picked up my prescriptions and got home I only had energy left to feed Gibbs and myself.
I liked the doctor and he did more than any of the others. It turns out that normal eye pressure is between 10 and 21 and my left eye was 40. He did a whole lot of explaining that I didn't catch all of. He put a couple drops in my eye, let me sit for 15 minutes and checked the pressure again. The drops had made the pressure drop to 29. He put a couple more drops in before I left then gave me 3 different drops to use and some pill. I go back in a week. I won't say my eye is 100% but it's a big improvement over what it was the other day.
Remember I told you the doctor at the ER prescribed an ointment and when I went to pick it up they said they had to order it? Well I didn't go back on Wednesday to get it. I thought I would wait to see what the eye doctor said Thursday. I asked him about it and he said don't get it. Then he told me not to let them give me any prescriptions not prescribed by him. Well I get to the pharmacy and they pull out the one from the ER doctor. I said nope, he just called new ones in for me today and he said he doesn't want me to use the ointment. I was expecting them to tell me I had to pay for it any way but they didn't.
Aside from my eye issues, nothing has been going on around here. It's work and home to lay around on the couch. Since I've been staying away from the computer I have been very lazy. I miss all of you so much though and I miss blogging.
I doubt I'll be able to catch up on all your posts so I think I'll just clear out the feedly feed and my email inbox and start fresh.

Did he say why the pressure is up, is it Glaucoma? Well, I am glad you went to him; he sounds like a really good eye doctor!
That number was high, but the drops seem to 'do the trick'. Just be diligent and keep from over using...I'm curious as the high reading?!!!
I am so glad they did not have the ointment since you did not need it. ER is not equipped to do what the eye needs, and really glad you went to the eye doc like ER said.. why oh why do things like this happen on weekend and holidays. must not be glaucoma since he did not say it was.. like the old heart muscle get high BP the eye must get high pressure... prayers for the drops to put you back to normal
I am glad your eye is improving...did hecsaybwhybthevoresdure got so high?
I'm glad you have a great doctor and that you're doing better. Just do what he says and soon you'll be back to normal. I'm glad you didn't have to pay for the other medicine either. Great news.
Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big healing hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
Don't even try to catch up, pick up on whatever day you are on and go with that. When you get our age all the things just start falling apart. HAHA....I started in my 30s though, been falling apart little by little each passing year. I hope things start looking better for you really soon.
I'm so glad you went to the eye doctor, Ann, and got a proper diagnosis. No, as long as you don't pick-up and pay-for a prescription, you don't have to buy it. They simply put it back on the shelf for the next person....because no one from the "outside" has handled it. You will continue to be in my prayers, my friend. Keep resting that eye and don't worry about reading blogs. We're just grateful you're here & able to keep us updated on how you're doing. ~Andrea xoxo
Wondering what caused the pressure to be so high.
Sure glad they figured what was wrong and made it right.
I'm glad your eye is feeling better Ann, even though not 100%. Sounds like you have a good eye doctor that you can have confidence in. With something like this it is hard to keep up blogging. I don't expect a visit while you are like this, but I will be checking in to see how you are progressing. Take very good care of yourself :)
That doctor sounds like a keeper! Glad you got in to see him. Sounds like he knows what he is doing. Hopefully improvement with your eye will continue! I always say blogs will always be here. So if we don't read some, so be it. There will always be new posts to read down the road when you are ready to do so :)
betty
Don't worry about catching up. I'm glad you saw the doctor and he was able to help you. What would cause the pressure to get so high? I know I have gone to get a prescription and turned it down because of the cost. They seem to be okay with that. Keep us posted on your next appointment.
I'm so glad you have a good eye doctor. Please take it easy, check in when you can and feel like it but don't stress. We will still be here for you. ❤️
I'm glad your eye is feeling better now and hope it continues to!
sounds serious those eyes of yours - do whatever you need to do - and as I think it was Pam, just start back on the day/date - don't worry about trying to catch up - you've got this ...
