Last week one day a pick up pulled into my neighbors driveway. They loaded a few small things into the back seat of the truck then loaded up the snowblower
The next day when I got home from work there was a moving truck in the driveway
This neighbor was there when I moved in to this house. As a matter of fact, him and his wife sold us the property that the house was built on. His kids have grown and gone, his wife has passed away but he's been there the whole time I've lived here. Now, we aren't close neighbors. He's not a very sociable person and I suppose neither am I. Yet I'm sad that he's leaving. I don't know for sure but I'm guessing either he's moving in with his son who lives in Ohio or maybe they found him something smaller close by. Either way, I'm happy for him but I'm sad for me. Oh and yes, this is the one neighbor who has kept my driveway clear since Wade passed away.

That was my first thought, was it the neighbor who kept your driveway clear. That is so sad.
I am sad for you. It gives me the same feeling when I see someone go I never knew really well. You lost a good neighbor too. He was always so kind to remove your snow. I am keeping my fingers crosses for you that another generous soul will move into his house.
This IS sad! I hope he is not going to a nursing home. Plus there is now the uncertainty of who will move in next.
That is sad. We've had two neighbors that have passed away. The one guy left the house to his granddaughter which is sweet. I hope you get another good neighbor.
Oh Ann, I'm so sorry...I pray Winter won't be so very bad. Hopefully he's with his son and not a nursing home.
Our neighbor on the right? Her husband just died...
Our across the street neighbor? Her husband died about 4 years ago...Larry has been mowing all of our laws ever since. He said last week it was getting a little more difficult to keep up with all the widows in his life...lol...because he is not finding things so easy to do anymore.
Then the neighbor to our right side just got put in a nursing home...his wife was my best friend who died 2 years ago on Christmas Day. He has never been the same. The kids came in and moved him....long story.
Old age sucks...but I try to keep walking and exercising. Larry won't exercise no matter what I say or do. I really Do try to cook healthy for him but when he's had enough, we go out to eat. At 77, I suppose it's time I quit harping and just let him do him. I think when he got the bladder cancer, he decided life is just too short.
Well, now that I've made things worse...Lolol...I love you.
Merry Christmas!
hugs

Ann I am sad for you. He was man of few words yet very thoughtful to clear your drive...
Hugs Cecilia
That is a bummer for sure. Perhaps though you'll get a new neighbor and you can make friends with them.
It's a sad day indeed. I hope someone else will help you with keeping the driveway clear.
Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
