Assorted stuff.

I was relaxing in the cave one day and looked out the window. The iris and all those green leaves made me happy.

At work I was sitting at my desk and saw the shadow on the wall. It transferred the words on the door perfectly in shadow.

I am making an effort to improve my eating habits. I've stopped my daily diet coke, I'm watching things like saturated fat and sodium content. I eat my breakfast at work because if I eat it at home, by the time I get to work I'm starving. Imagine my horror when I microwaved this breakfast bowl and read the box. Not only was the saturated fat very high but the sodium content was through the roof. I won't be buying those any more.

The one thing that I refuse to give up is my morning cup of coffee with a splash of flavored creamer. I tried to drink it black and it just didn't cut it.

No black coffee for me either! I can drink it with no sugar of I have to, but it has to have cream or milk. I love the iris, don't think I have ever seen pure white ones.

I completely understand. Life has gotten so fast-paced now that when you get home from work, you often just don't have the energy to cook. Eating healthy takes a massive effort, from buying the right ingredients to actually preparing them. But I truly hope you find the strength to do it, because our health is worth it. We often struggle with this very same thing ourselves.

The tree looks amazing. Health is most important. Good idea to cut the sodium. It's in many things...

I started treating the grocery store like a library years ago. I am super sensitive to salt, the smallest amount has me spitting food out - I wonder why frozen foods have so much sodium (so much!). And the saturated fats and cholesterol. Why is it that if it's tasty it's bad for you?

You need a little pleasure in your life too!

Such pretty photos.
Yes, processed food is so full of everything bad. I forgot my lunch the other day and didn't want to go out. We had a few Healthy Choice items in the office freezer, so I heated one up. I about chocked on that first bite it was SO salty. Healthy Choice is not an appropriate name for that stuff.

Your shadow shot is amazing. Well spotted!
I don't think a cup of coffee with creamer will do you much harm. You have to live and enjoy life! 😉☕

Good for you to be more aware of your health. The exiting of your Diet Coke is a huge hurdle. Proud of you. Processed food is so full of everything "bad". The salt seems so heavy in all of it.
Don't give up everything Cold Turkey but baby steps will make it all seem like you can survive it.
Says me drinking my cup of coffee while writing this. (:0)

Yes, baby steps, baby steps. And a lot of positive reinforcement when you take one in the right direction. 👍

Trying to eat healthy here too, with the occasional step-back. I used to buy those pre-made boxes and like you read the label one time. I was actually looking at them in the freezer once and a lady came by and said how bad they were for us and she mentioned the sodium level. She said they put it in there to make it taste better. Don't know if that's an actual fact or what but she did me a favor. I rarely have a pre-packed meal any more. Your shadow shot was very nice and I understand why that view out of the window makes you happy. It would me too.

Yes, it is nice to see the flowers this time of year along with those green leaves. That's a pretty cool photo with the address on the wall. I try to watch those things too. It's amazing the amount of sodium in things. I like creamer too in my coffee. Take care.
I deleted my comment because I believe I checked Notify Me by mistake and I'm getting your comments. Not sure I have it right yet.
