I probably should just stay off the roads altogether because way too many things annoy me when I'm behind the wheel.
In no particular order
- People who drive UNDER the speed limit. I admit that I have a bit of a lead foot when I drive but I'll tolerate going the speed limit. I find it so annoying to be behind someone who drives slower than that.
- Staying in the left land on the highway. The left lane is for passing and faster traffic. More and more I encounter slower drivers in the left lane with a string of cars behind them. Once you pass me, unless there is another car close, move over into the right lane.
- People who get annoyed with slow drivers in the left lane so pass on the right. The other day, someone passed me on the left followed by another car. The second car was going faster but the first didn't move over so the second moved into the right lane at the same time the slower first car moved over. Thankfully the second car was paying attention and avoided the collision.
- On ramp speed. I was always taught that you use the on ramp to get up to speed before mergin into traffic on the highway. I encounter more and more people who drive slowly down the ramp and don't start getting up to speed until they are on the highway.
- Last one, Roundabouts. There are just too many issues here to even try and list them all. People are just not catching on to the concept.

The new roundabouts here are so confusing! There are no signs to tell you which way to go and you could end up driving straight into oncoming traffic. Hate right passers, too!
Those roundabouts can be confusing!
Driving is not good for the blood pressure!
Oh yes...those round-a-bouts...you really have to do some thinking when you come upon one of these. Thankfully, we do not have them in our area. Also, the left lane driving is so annoying...especially when someone drives the left lane going under the speed limit...
These are all very valid annoyances. They are turning our overpass onto I57 into a roundabout and I am not looking forward to that. There is a small one at the entrance to the hospital and people can't seem to even follow it with the signs.
I understand your peeves. I remember roundabouts first being built here. They were very confusing and I saw at least three accidents right in front of us in the early days. On one of our routes recently, two more were being built, the first and then two or three hundred yards away, another. People seemed to navigate them well but am even after all this time very wary.
I have to admit to using my horn this week....2 cars turning in front of me. They did NOT have the right away! lol Have a good day sweet friend. I finally wrote a post! Hugs!
I think a lot of drivers can relate to this one. The left lane issue and people not knowing how to use a roundabout are definitely frustrating. Driving takes patience, but sometimes it feels like everyone has their own set of rules.
BOL BOL Ann you must be a mind reader. I personally thing driving too slow is as much of a hazard as too fast. Ramp pokes YIKES
Hugs Cecilia
I definitely agree with all of the above !!!
It does try my patience. I really, really , really dislike round abouts.
There are 3 of them in a 1 mile radius just for me to get to the post office .. really not needed.
Enjoy your 3 days off Ann.

Yes, all good complaints . :) Another one, people who brake for no reason. I learned about round a bouts in GB so don't have trouble with them and are quite easy it you follow the rules. The problem I find with them here is that they are way too small!!!
I completely understand your frustration. Just imagine that here in Greece we often have to deal with people parking on wheelchair ramps, double-parking on busy streets, losing their temper, and many other things besides. Unfortunately, though, what you are describing can put people's lives at risk, and that makes it especially concerning.
I am so glad I don't drive! Some drivers here can get crazy!
So sorry you have to deal with that. It can be so annoying. People sure do drive crazy all the time.
I agree with all...and am used to roundabouts now...but did not like them at first. But have I got a tale about my other daughter and an incident.
