NOT a Cinco de Mayo fan. At ALL. I don't understand why a wee battle with France in Mexico has anything to do with the United States. Another faux "holiday" for commercial purposes in this country. Ugh.
I don't celebrate this. I live in the middle of illegal aliens...Thousands and thousands of them. We don't call it California anymore, it's Mexifornia.

As good a reason as any to have a holiday I suppose. In this case blaming the French has turned out well.
