Doo doo doo lookin' out my back door

I haven't seen much of the sun lately so when I spotted it yesterday I grabbed the camera and went to the back door.

Unlike the lyrics from the song, you won't see any happy creatures dancin' on my lawn right now.

I copied these lyrics from MetroLyrics

Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singin'
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door

Giant doin' cartwheels, statue wearin' high heels
Look at all the happy creatures dancin' on the lawn
Dinosaur Victrola list'nin' to Buck Owens
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door

Tambourines and elephants are playin' in the band
Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon? Doo, doo, doo
Wond'rous apparition provided by magician
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door

Tambourines and elephants are playin' in the band
Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon? Doo, doo, doo
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrow
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door

Forward troubles Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Look at all the happy creatures dancin' on the lawn
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrow
Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door

Yikes ... that's a lot of snow! Hope Mr. Gibbs doesn't get lost but I'm sure you guys have made a nice little path for him so he doesn't get a frozen winkie!

Keep warm and have a nice weekend.

As long as you're looking at snow from the inside holding a mug of hot cocoa it's lovely! Hope the sun shines today too!

Whoa, that sounds like a great song for Creedence to have sung! Too bad they broke up so soon.

Love this photo...a lot!

I've heard that song many times...but never really paid attention to the words. They're very strange!
