project 365 week of 7/19
7/19 It was such a hot day and the house was like an oven. I took my kindle out on the deck when the sun was going down and kicked back in the lounge chair. Unfortunately after about a half hour it started sprinkling.
7/20 Work has been extra tough lately. Without going in to details I'll just say that I need little things to entertain me. I've been making index card art with snarky sayings that make me laugh. I take them to work and hang them on my table so when I need a laugh all I have to do is look at them.
7/21 My craft table has quite the mess going on.
7/22 I won the most incredible giveaway. I'll tell you more about it in another post
7/23 Apparently my biggest accomplishment of the day was doing the dishes
7/24 Healthy snack. I need to eat like this more often and skip the junk
7/25 I feel so eco friendly. I finally started remembering to take my reusable shopping bags in the stores with me. Two weeks in a row now I haven't brought home any plastic bags.

We've had a rainstorm at the weekend, so the garden is a mess again!
Those art cards look fun! Congrats on your win - curious to know what you won :)
Doing the dishes is considered an incredible accomplishment in this house these days.
You know, I like the weekly recap thing...it makes me feel less "behind"...I have been so down in the dumps...:)JP
It looks like one of your grocery bags is an insulated one - what a good idea. We use a huge canvas bag for all the cold stuff and everything else goes in paper - no plastic here!
great idea on those cards and on reading the kindle, i would just move inside to the sofa if it started to rain. good girl on the bags, i just bring home the plastic and then take them back the next week. i tried the canvas bags and the cashiers take 3 times the time to load them. i freeze my grapes, they are delish and last for a couple of weeks, so good frozen.
Hello,
Every single thing you wrote made me sit back and think.
Yes, sometimes we need to laugh even in our work place which sometimes is tough, monotonous, boring and a strain. It is an excellent idea to have somethings to laugh and feel happy.
Congratulations you won a wonderful giveaway.
Certainly, we feel like we have achieved something great when we do boring things like dishes.
It is true that we often make resolution to eat healthy snack but when see something tempting all our resolutions fly out.
Most shops and super markets give plastic bags here and they say it is degradable. So I generally don't carry a bag but the supermarket charge Rs4 for each bag.
Lovely photos.
Very interesting post.
What a week and I'll wait on the post for that giveaway. Yes indeed.
Eating healthy can be a challenge and especially if there are many poor choices to choose from. I find myself there a lot when we're boating. Bugger.
Hubby shopped the other day and brought home paper bags. The shopping bags were in the trunk where they always are. Oh well.
Have a fabulous day. My best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Looks like Duke might have been the winner! Bummer it started raining after you went outside. Hopefully it cooled things down instead of just making it humid. Plastic is banned in our town and we have to pay for paper so we have to take our bags into every store. It's hard to remember sometimes!
Thinking about you and wishing you a good week ahead
HI Ann, I have just been having a bit of a catch up with your posts...I loved the 'memories' one of Duke, so heartfelt, and the latest 'Gibbs report' really made me chuckle. The little box for the craft show looks lovely too and so were the photos you took with your 'real' camera. Hoping to control my time a little better from now on and catch up on a more regular basis. Fingers crossed!!
At least you've been inventive enough to come up with a creative way to cheer yourself up at work!
A messy craft table is a good sign too!
Did somebody win a doggie door???
Okay, you've got to share your snarky index cards! Congrats on your giveaway win and what's your secret to remembering your reusable bags? I can never remember to take the dang things into the store!
Can't wait to hear about the giveaway!
Have you ever tried frozen grapes? I love frozen green grapes...and frozen blueberries too! One of my favorite summer treats!
