It is what it is.

Not everything is the way I would like it to be. That's ok, it is what it is. Sometimes it's not pretty but you take what you can get.

I just hope since someone is paying for this cake they aren't as displeased with how it looks as I am.

The pies didn't look too bad though.

Apple, dutch apple, cherry, strawberry rhubarb or pumpkin. Which one would you like a slice of?

The pies look like fall. I love the sunflowers on the cake. I couldn't do half as good a job. How did you learn to do food decorating anyway?

Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Oh for crap's sake Ann - that cake is FABULOUS. And I shall have one slice of each pie thank you very much because I LOVE pie more than anything - I actually dreamt about pie last night LOL

The cake looks so fallish with those sunflowers. You did a good job and your handwriting is lovely. I'm sure it was enjoyed and appreciated. Cake decorating is fun, but nerve-wracking work.

Those pies look yummy! I'll have a slice of cherry please.

Have a wonderful weekend ~ FlowerLady

Howdy, I LOVE it... You are critical of your work--but truly, for someone like me who has NO talent in that area, your cake is fabulous!!!!!!!

YEP---it is what it is --when talking about life, choices, decisions, friends, family, etc. etc. etc...... We all just do the best we can at the moment.... Putting one foot in front of the other is a step in the right direction....

Hang in there...
Love you,
Betsy

All my cake decorating was learned on the job. Some the previous baker taught me, some I found instructions online and the rest has just been playing and experimenting

LOL thank you. I get a big critical of the cakes I do.
I love pie too but I also love cake

No need to choose, you can have a slice of each

I really am very critical of my work. My boss once told me even if I don't like it the person buying it can't do it themselves so they'll be thrilled with it

Ooh, cherry please! Or... maybe dutch apple. Okay, a little slice of each!

These are cheater pies. We get them in frozen and just put them in the oven to bake. We recently switched to a new brand of pie and in all my years I have never seen a dutch apple pie with a top crust. This company makes a regular apple pie and then puts the streusel crumbs on top of the top crust. Oddest thing ever to me.
