Read, nap, repeat.

Yesterday was another lazy day. I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open, then I napped for a bit. When I woke up I would read again until I couldn't keep my eyes open again. I went back and forth between reading my kindle and reading blogs. You know, so I had a little more variety in my day. It was one of those kinds of days that was perfect for it. Sort of dark and dreary with a little bit of rain thrown in.

There was one other thing I did yesterday. I did a little playing around with a new picture of Gibbs.

This is the original.

I took out the white cord in the background then darkened and blurred it. I sharpened Gibbs and gave his eyes a little bit extra pop.

Then I thought I would try cropping it in closer.

Then I tried it in black and white.

He doesn't appear to be happy with any of them.

It is just like from a professional pet photographer, so fancy and sharp! The first one was so good, I couldn't figure out how you could make it better. Yet you did. My favorite is the second.

The second photo is my favorite, Gibbs is a handsome guy.

He does look a mite sad with the camera aimed at him. amazing how much it changed, great job, you are so talented with photoshop. each time you do something like this I decide I need to learn to do this in PS and leave PM alone for a while.. each edit got better and I like the color best but the black and white is amazing to... love what you did to his eyes and the details of his furs... you had a good day in my book, I love doing what you did

WOW! I love how good you are with editing photos! The second one is my favorite. Gibbs is a lovely subject.

Isn't it nice to be able to just relax and READ? I just loaded my Kindle with 3 new books. We have to relocate for a few days while they refinish the floors, so it will be me and the cats, on the couch (hopefully, not under the couch) at my daughter's apartment next week. I hope I can relax.

What a lovely way to spend your day. I've done these kinds of days before and they are wonderful.

Gibbs is a cutie pie. I love your edits.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. 😎😎😎

Well Gibbs I think you need to wear a smile sweet baby! I understand those days. Although it was pretty out, but really hot on Sat. I had not slept well the night before so I slept all day. I did read, however I prefer a book in hand, and I watched some tv...I basicllay slept the better part of the day. Sometimes we just gotta!

You are getting very good at your photo shop work. I love that you could remove the cord and you really turned a nice photo into and incredible one :) You certainly deserve a lazy day . . . you've been working so much :)
Take care of yourself.
Best wishes always,
Connie :)

Hmmm, he looks more confused than unhappy to us. He must be wondering what is happening to him. :)

Great editing, the last two look like professional pet portraits :)

Thanks. It honestly didn't take all that much to improve it. Just a few adjustments.

Thanks. I think the second is my favorite too. The cropped one would have been better if I had not gone in so close.

Thanks. It's amazing what a few adjustments can do

Thanks. It was really just a matter of a few adjustments to kick it up a notch.
I have tons of books downloaded on my kindle. I'll never run out of books...lol

I think I'm going a bit stir crazy but it is nice not having to go to work.

I absolutely love having the kindle but I know a lot of people who prefer a good old fashioned book.

He hates getting his picture taken and will almost always look away from the camera.

Thanks. Yes, he does always have a serious look on his face.

Thank you. It's amazing what a few adjustments will do
