Woe is me

I had a little pity party for myself. I guess I'm feeling down over the whole battery issue. I've gone two days now without my vehicle because Wednesday morning it wouldn't start again. I walked to work Wednesday and back home. I had asked my daughter if she could give me a ride Thursday morning and I was glad I did because it was snowing like crazy. I did walk back home after work though. As I type this her and her boyfriend are out hopefully picking up a new battery for me. Everyone had told me to go to a certain place and how good they were and they'll even put the battery in for you. Well that's all well and good except I couldn't get the vehicle started to get it there. I was feeling a bit frustrated and annoyed. I'll get over it and be back to positive happy me soon.

So, so,so very sorry for you, Ann. I have had two long periods of car troubles in the last year. Very frustrating and costly. And like you I had to get to work and back every day. I hope that by the time you read my comment you have your wheels back. Hugs to you. Jo

i think car problems are THE most frustrating of all things. we are so dependent on our vehicles and when we don't have it. yowsa! hope they found one and he could get it installed for you.... since i have Bob and we have 2 vehicles Bob just takes the other one and goes to Auto zone and brings a new one home and installs it. i am sitting here thinking what i would do if i had one car and no bob. i have no idea. i don't have anyone to call

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I hope the new battery will make everything good again. Not having a vehicle to go to work is not a fun thing. I so remember.

Have a fabulous day and tomorrow is a day off. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

You know what, I deleted my comment. Who needs all that nonsense. Feel your feels any which way you want to feel them, for as long as you want to feel them.

It's ok to be down about things that happen to us in life, dear heart. Not having a car that starts would make anybody down. I hope you get back up & running soon and that your battery will be good for a long while. Know I'm thinking of you & praying for you, Andrea xoxo

My grandpa used to say "If money can fix it, don't worry about it." "Yeah...but we don't always have the money to fix it, Grandpa!" we'd say in return. "Money comes from somewhere...and those are the easy problems to fix." he's say back. Grrrrrr.....

We thought grandpa was an idiot. But you know what...he is right in the end. At least you could FIX your car...and you did. Okay...so it sucked in the meantime and it cost you money that you probably didn't have.....but it's fixed, right?

You are certainly entitled to a good cry, a lot of frustration and a little pity party. But it will be okay now.

I always let them put it in, not a car fixer myself, but could

Cars are nothing but expensive! Not fun when they stop working.

I saw on FB that you're all fixed up so hopefully nothing else unexpected happens for a very long time. Hope you had a good day!

Around here if it's just the battery we jump start it from another car battery. Do you know anyone with battery cables? We always keep some in our car.

Andy adds, if the motor turns over when you try to start it, then it might be something more serious than just the battery.

I'm sorry - what a bummer! I hope it's fixed now! It's so cold to be walking.

It's ok that you deleted it but I still enjoyed reading it and it was just what I needed to hear. Thanks Grace

Yep, your grandpa was a smart one. Wise words.
Party is over and it's back to normal :)

I wouldn't have the first clue what to do. I didn't even know what size engine I had...lol

Aint that the truth. Between maintenance, inspection, registration and insurance it's crazy

Keeping my fingers crossed :)

I think I have cables here somewhere but I didn't have anyone to jump it. Although I suppose I could have knocked on a neighbors door.
The moto didn't turn over at all.

It is all fixed now. Yes, it's a bit chilly out there for a walk but at least it wasn't real windy so it didn't feel too bad

Hey....we are all allowed to have our pity parties. I am sorry you have had issues but in hopes that you are not out walking in the snow and ice anymore. Cold weather can play ugly with car batteries. So glad you have your daughter near you...and that is sweet of them to go get that battery for you.

I got to take a nice warm drive to work this morning. It was so nice and even better that I didn't have to walk back home after work.
