It's too early for this

It seems to me that it's just too early in the year for it to be feeling so cold already. Yesterday our high was only about 50. It was rainy and gloomy.

Even Gibbs had to pull out a blanket.

I do keep the thermostat turned down rather low. It's only at 68. Already the furnace has been running quite a bit. I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter

I keep our thermostat at 68 pretty much all the time - if it's really cold I might jack it a bit when I shower and dress and then back down it goes - mostly because it just gets stuffy when the heat is too high and the windows are closed and I'd rather put a hoodie on than jack the heat...

Oh, I have the same feeling . . . Long and cold.
Gibbs has the right idea.

Us too. We never had fall. It went straight from summer to winter. We have had the heat running quite a bit, and it even comes on set at 65! Gibbs looks very cozy, though.

Awwww, sweet, sweet Gibbs & his blankey!! Heck, I love winter here! And, I'm ready. At 5 am, it 60 something. Feels great after 90-100 for months.

I am wondering how hard the winter is going to be, too...I had to kick our heat on a few days ago...originally I just left it on long enough to take the chill off. Now I am leaving it on.

I am thinking your cold winter might be like our hot summer, longer and colder than usual. we are still dying from the heat. Oct we usually get a break but not this year.. Gibbs looks so sweet on his blankie.. hugs and kisses

We have the heater on in the mornings and then the air on when we go to bed. Can't stand sleeping in a hot house. The weather is changing though.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of warm scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Gibb's is adorable. Today is cooler, a few leaves look like they might be ready for a change but I am still waiting for some sign that we are actually going to have a winter.

Well it's either too hot or too cold. Would be nice to get some Fall weather for a few months.

Gibbs looks comfy!

I had it at 68 all last winter and it didn't bother me.For some reason right now it feels exceptionally cold to me. I agree I don't like it real hot in the house though. Wade always kept it at 72 and the upstairs was very stuffy.

I've been surprised at how often the furnace has been kicking on.

I would love your kind of winter but I want to keep my summer. Yours is too hot for me

No air in this house but I've survived without it. Although if we had hotter weather than what we do I might want it

I don't think we are going to have a real spectacular fall this year as far as acolor goes. A lot of trees are still green and others are just turning brown and falling off

What a sweet picture of Gibbs. :)

It's starting to get cool here, too. I prefer fall and winter to hot summers, so no complaints.

I don't mind fall but I don't like to be cold.

Gibbs looks so comfortable...seasonal spring here, keeps swinging back and forwards...this region is known for "four seasons in one day" - today we've at "three"...gorgeous sunny morning, and then light rain and now brisk wind/breeze" oops it's still morning...I had to go down to the village to get my hair cut...(I'm in New Zealand)

They've said the same for our area. If you don't like the weather just wait a few hours and you'll get something different.
