Welcome to my nightmare

The long weekend is over and it was back to reality this morning. Reality for me, after being off work for 3 days can be a bit of a nightmare. Going in and finding all the things that were done wrong or not done at all makes me crazy. I'm not going to spend the whole post complaining about it though.
Sunday we went to Conneaut Lake Park. They have a summer concert series called Bikes Blues and Brews. The concerts are free so it's the perfect way to spend the afternoon. The band that played Sunday was called Nightmare (I think) and they do an Alice Cooper tribute. I didn't listen to a lot of Alice Cooper back in the day but I know a few of his songs and I'm certainly not going to pass up the opportunity to go listen to some music.
Pretty freaky looking isn't he? We talked to him a couple years ago and he was actually quite polite and friendly.
This was where I took the picture of the motorcycles in yesterdays post. You should see how many of them there are when they have these concerts.
So this is what we left Duke home alone for. Tomorrow I'll show you what he got for being a good boy while we were gone.

As long as you had fun. I would have stayed with Duke though. Just saying. I so remember having to go back to work after a long weekend.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

The concert sounds like fun! I'm glad you left Duke at home though. Too many times I see poor little dogs being brought places they shouldn't be and they are scared. I still don't get why people have to bring their dogs everywhere they go. I would think a loud concert would be very scary for the likes of Duke. I'm glad he was home and safe. :)

The photo is interesting...not sure I would have found the music interesting though! : )
Can't wait to see what Duke gets!

I'm not sure who he is - but if you say he's good - I believe you! Have a good day tomorrow!

Well, school IS out for summer, ha ha! I thought at first you had really met Alice himself!

Hi Ann, Sorry work was rough today... That is what always happens after a vacation.... Hope it gets better tomorrow.

I'm WAY beyond the age of appreciation for someone who looks and sings like Alice Cooper... ha ha ... Glad you had a nice day though.
Hugs,
Betsy

Sounds like a fun weekend! Sorry your day back at work wasn't so fun but at least we're one day closer to Sadieday! Can't wait to see what Duke got for having to stay home by himself!

He isn't really all that scary under the makeup :)

Happy that Duke was a good boy while you were gone.

Sounds like you had a great day and I LOVE the blues!

I know what you mean about going back after a 3 day weekend. At our clinic the phones wouldn't stop ringing!!!

Excellent picture of the mock Alice. I've always been an Alice Cooper fan, so this must have been extremely fun. Alice gives free concerts around here usually once a year.

I think I'd enjoy these Summer concerts in the park, I like the casual stage and wouldn't mind listening to Mr. Nightmare — I love his haircut, by the way.

Looking back on it, I suppose Cassville (Missouri) High School was pretty cool, after all. For we couldn't hold the senior prom on school grounds because dancing leads one straight to Hell, according to the good Southern Baptists on the school board, but the principal allowed "School's Out" to be played over the intercom on the last day of school for 3-4 years in a row.

Oh yeah, the dancing would commence. Nothing that American Bandstand would have wanted to cover, but we had a good time.

Definitely a scary looking dude; I probably would have hung out with Duke and listened to the radio instead *laugh*.

WEll I am glad the music was good. That guy is just a little scary. Can't wait to see what Duke got for staying home by himself. Hope you got work straightened out.

That's a great shot. I wonder if he's describing the size of the fish that got away :)

Interesting band, I had a roomate in AZ who went to school with Alice. Both were a little crazy.

I think Duke got the better deal (especially if it was followed by a treat). The singer looks like the band is very loud.

The singer sure knows how to do his make-up :)

That guy sure is freaky looking. I guess that is his gimmick. But a free concert is a free concert. We go to all the freebies.

I went to an Alice Cooper Concert back in the 70's. Gee...don't remember any of his songs. That dude does look like him....I think.

well my boy Duke is much more handsome than this dude, and please tell Duke I said that. glad you had a good 3 day week end and hope you are getting caught up from the extra work.

Oh, no. I know I would have preferred to be home with Duke. I bet it would be fun to see what he does when you are not home:)

He is freaky looking but where I live, that's the norm. Glad you had fun and can't wait to see what Duke got :D BTW mailed your CD's today so you should have them on the weekend. Though given the fact that you enjoy the Alice Cooper kind of music I'm not sure you'll like Sony's cd's but maybe Duke will like them :)

If he dress like that for Memorial Day, I wonder what he would look like on Halloween.
