Well Hello Cupcake

Someone sent me this in my email yesterday

I'm late getting my post up this morning because I never did get any scheduled yesterday. I said I was going to attempt to get things done and I did. I've come to the conclusion that I should not be cleaning my house. It started with dusting the tv stand. I moved the stereo receiver to dust underneath it and pulled out the fiber optic cable. I had no idea where it came out of so there was the first thing I had to admit to. I moved on to cleaning the kitchen. I sprayed the stove with some cleaner like I always do and then wiped everything off. Then while I was standing at the sink rinsing out a dishcloth I heard the pop of the GFCI  outlet. Apparently I must have shorted something out when I was spraying the stove and it kept tripping the outlet. Wade said to let it dry out and try it again. The stove is still unplugged. That was it for me. I was not going to touch anything else for fear of burning down the house. I spent the rest of the day reading with my Kindle.

"Oh, so cute" was my first reaction when I saw the adorable cupcakes and puppy face.

"Oh, no!" was my reaction when I read of your mishaps. Chillin' with your Kindle was a safe decision. Sure hope today goes much better.

Ann -

I would take Sunday off also - no need to try and clean anything today -- my dust bunnies are happy just staying were they are ... I'll be sewing American girl doll clothes so there's no cleaning for me!

All the best-
Katie

I got so caught up on your breaking things I forgot to comment about the photograph. That's adorable times two. Those cupcakes ROCK.

I'd rather read than do the housework too ;-)

Oh, that photo is ADORABLE! I would feel guilty eating those cupcakes. Good thing I don't like cupcakes anyway.

There were 3 of us chipping in to clean yesterday--which I LOVE. It took us a couple of hours and we were done!! YEA!! I love it when I get help.

That's the key--tell Wade I said that. ;)

Hello!

What a cute photo! I am sorry to hear that your cleaning day turned out so complicated! Maybe you and Duke should just rest today and enjoy one of those cups of tea! Wishing you a happy day and a great week ahead!

Oh, so lovely, maybe I could do cat ones...
As for housework, I hate it, I've been doing all that stuff for so many years I am totally fed up with it, cooking, cleaning, washing etc,
Luckily I have Mr.T who thinks its a novelty, so I let him get on with it. lol

Those cupcakes are fabulous! They look more like Duke than the poodle there.

ps: My Mommeh is in love with her Kindle.

So are you very clumsy like me, or just allergic to cleaning? I probably told you about how I had to go to the E.R. from an accident when trying to pt on my underpants...the doctors laughed themselves silly. You need a maid so you can bake, play with duke, and blog. I think your house is best left dusty till then!

Forgot to say the cupcakes are outrageous, so cute!!!!

Isn't housecleaning in the hi-tech age dangerous?

I almost electrocution myself once years ago when I first arrived int he US whilst cleaning an electric range...I wasn't used to it and had no idea that could happen, but it scared me!

Better luck next time!

Yep, best to stop all work and read!

First, I love Duke's expression. It's like "yeah, that's me." The cupcakes are adorable. Sorry about the shorts, I'm scared to death dealing with those types of things.

Is that a Bichon? So so adorable.

And good idea about stopping and reading your Kindle. Smart move. ;)

Bwaaaahaha! I'm sorry to have such a good laugh at your pain, but OMG this was hilarious!

Reminds me of when a friend insisted her husband help dry dishes. He promptly stuck his cup-toweled hand in her favorite wine glass and broke it. She banned him from the kitchen.

Some people will do anything to get out of housework! LOL.

Love the cupcake pic. Please tell whoever sent it to you - major kudos! :)

I want to sincerely thank you for being so honest about your destructive tendencies. For my wife often feels like she is the only one who can do some much damage, and this will help her to know that she is not alone.

Of course, since I never do anything wrong, it is hard for me to relate, but I try. Yeah, it's hard to find someone more considerate than me. In fact, I would say that it would be impossible, but I am humble enough to accept that there may be.
