Stumped

Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you just can't figure things out and your completely stumped. Then there are the times when you have no particular thoughts going through your mind other than I need to take a picture of that...

...tree trunk

and of course the pretty flowers that were growing by it.
I used to know what these were called but I can't seem to remember. I know one of you will have the answer though.

You asked what we feed the foxes.
They have tinned dog food, some dog roll and 2 bits of chicken, plus a jam sandwich each night.
It depends who comes round first as to who gets the chicken and they nose around in the pile until they find it (chicken wings).
I always include a sandwich as its handy for putting the mange drops on if I spot any of them starting to get it, the drops quickly clear it up.
I wont tell you how much I spend, but its worth every penny just to watch them each night.

The hole in the stump looks like a perfect place for a critter to make home. There are even pretty flowers near the entrance. I kind of expect a Gnome or Hobbit to peek out and offer tea and second breakfast :)

I have no idea what the wildflowers are, but they sure are pretty. And delicate!!

That tree stump is most fascinating. I would've stopped and captured it also.

I don't know if I am losing it or something ... lately I tend to look at thing from different angles. When I saw the tree trunk, my first thought was "home". Crazy right!

Purple has been my color of late.

Those would be called "pretty purple flowers". I can't remember the names of anything I plant, so that's my name for them. ;)

You're welcome.

I am thinking that those flowers are a kind of flox, but I am too lazy to actually try to look it up right now (and probably later, too). Sorry.

Lovely photos Ann! Is this by your home? It's so pretty there. I bet that tree trunk is an awesome home to some lucky little creature. Beautiful flower weed??

That looks like the perfect hiding hole for a furry critter! The flowers are pretty but I don't know what they're called either.

That is a great stump and I think I have some of those same flowers around here. Have no idea what their name is. But they are pretty. They grow wild here. Have a great weekend.
