I would say it was a productive day

I may not have accomplished a lot but I did get something big out of the way. I made a trip to the office of vital statistics and got a copy of that death certificate that I needed. I was a bit surprised when I handed the application to the woman at the desk and she asked me if I was going to wait. I said sure and she told me it would be about 20 minutes. I didn't time it but I'm sure I was there less than 10 minutes. I thought for sure I would have to come back another day. When I got home I got all the necessary paperwork (I hope) in the mail so it's on it's way to the insurance company.

As for yesterdays post. Those tracks aren't in my yard. They are just on the other side of the property line and they are in the property owned by the doctors office. I took a map from google maps to show where the tracks run. They drove quite a distance in before turning around

So backt o yesterdays trip to Erie. As long as I was there I figured I would visit some of my favorite stores. I was very impressed with my self control. Out of 3 craft stores that I visisted I did not purchase one single thing. Quite honestly I didn't really see anything I even wanted.

The amount of Christmas stuff in the stores is really quite disgusting. I really wish the didn't have to rush it so much.

I am so glad that you got the death certificate! Yea!! Now, I hope that there is a nice surprise with the insurance company coming your way.

I guess if those goofs were to ruin some land, they were thoughtful to do it on commercial property and not private land. Still...such a shame to ruin the grass.

Good for you getting the legal work done!

Whew - done and done! A bit more breathing room now, whatever the amount of the policy is. The only store I go to is the grocery store so I don't really notice holiday stuff - and even if I did go out more I still wouldn't notice the holiday stuff because it just doesn't concern me. (Except for that pumpkin spice crap - THAT I always notice because there is no way to avoid it!)

I am sure you maybe saw Hobby Lobby who each year seems to start earlier

I'm glad it was much easier than you imagined. Good for you and that's one more thing checked off your list of things to be checked off.

I'm glad you did a bit of window shopping. It's good to get out once in a while.

People used to do that to peoples yards all the time back in the day. Not so much now. I guess it's coming back into a thing to do. I hope not.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

my hubby, from the dogs' walks, informs me that 3 neighbors have their Xmas trees up already. WTH? I thought the rule of thumb was to wait until AFTER Thanksgiving for in home decorating?

I am so glad you have this thing done, I know it would have been worrisome. Hmmm, maybe those tracks are from an unsatisfied patient?

Yes, me too. I'm really curious to find out how much it is.
I can't believe I never even heard them run through there.

Yes, whatever it is, it will be helpful.
LOL, I'm laughing about the pumpkin spice crap.

Yes, they have had it out for quite a while. I remember last year they were reducing it all way before Christmas even got here and they were working on putting out the next holiday

I really was surprised because even on their website it said it took a week or so.

Ann said...

Oh that is crazy. My rule here has always been that the tree can't go up until after the thanksgiving dinner dishes have been washed.

I'm glad too. It was a bit of a headache and now I can stop worrying about it

Yes, me too on the legal work.
It seems like it just gets earlier and earlier all the time. I wish they would wait until after Thanksgiving to start putting the stuff out

Glad you got all the darn paper work done. It seems everyone is for gettting about Thanksgiving. And just going to Christmas. Ann you have a great evening.

I understand that it is a lot to do with the death of a spouse. I know my friend Laura was still working on stuff of her's and Ken's when she past away 20 days later. She had papers covering the kitchen table, working on stuff. Just not sure how her kids will get through it all. Glad you got things done.

Merchandise does come out too early and the holidays are all rushed. I still needed to pick up a few things for Halloween towards the end of last month and I did get them, but the section was reduced wayyyy down with Christmas items all around.

So glad you were able to get the certificate!! That must be a relief. Hope things turn out well. I used to mind the early Christmas stuff but don't anymore - I like having first picks of stuff - not many people are shopping for it yet - except weirdo me. :)
