Saturday

There are two days of the week that I really like. One is Monday and the other is Saturday. Of course if my days off fell on different days then my favorite days would change.

Any way, I have absolutely no idea what to blog about today. I have done nothing crafty, I haven't gone anywhere interesting and life has been rather boring.

There are times when I miss some of the tv shows that I used to watch but I've been able to watch quite a lot of things absolutely free. The digital antenna gets several channels and on the fire stick I've found several apps that are completely free to watch. I won't ever get cable again. It's just not worth it.
If you have the fire stick and want free content you can try
Tubi (this is my current favorite)
Pluto
Sony Crackle
Fawsome

We just got an Amazon Fire, but I don't know what the fire stick is! I know it is supposed to be good though.

If you don't have a smart tv, the fire stick is a device you can plug into the back of it and then you can stream movies and tv. That's how you would get all your Amazon prime content on your tv but there are also other apps that you can add. Some you need to pay for and some is totally free

I will cancel my cable if I am ever left alone. you are right, it is not worth the money. once your house is paid off, you can buy the channel your shows are on and watch through fire stick... I think cable will be on the way out soon because of this... they charge way to much. I wish they allowed us to just buy the channels we use.

We haven't had cable for years! And I don't miss it at all.

I don't miss it either. There are a couple shows that I used to watch that I really liked and I miss them but I've found others. I've also noticed that I don't watch tv as much as I used to. I think before it was pretty much on for the noise and now I just watch when I want to sit down and watch.

We haven't had cable or satellite for a very long time and we don't miss it. It's so nice to watch what we want to watch and when we want to watch it. Does make one wonder why the cable/satellite providers don't clue in. Ann, sometimes it's nice to have a day off and do nothing - enjoy. ^^

Ann, when you are in a better financial place, try Sling.TV. My daughter has it and she gets all the channels that we already enjoyed with our cable service and it is $25/month. If it weren't for all the sports that my husband watches, we would be doing that instead of cable.

We haven't had cable in years either. We have Amazon Prime and Netflix. We are happy.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

Our local cable company is now offering a streaming service but they are overpriced on that as well.

My daughter also has sling and she really likes it. She was showing me all what she gets when I was at her apartment.

Amazon Prime is certainly a good price.

Only you would go out in a blizzard for a jelly donut...lol

Thank you so much for writing every day! I really appreciate it. We haven’t had cable for about 40 years and don’t think we’re missing anything. :)

Well you're welcome and I'm glad you keep coming back to read :)
The price of cable has gotten so high and you pay for all those channels and only watch a couple.

That's the big trouble with cable -- they make you pay for so much you don't want. They're going to have to change.

My cable company is now offering a streaming service but theirs is more expensive than others out there. If I were to go with a paid service it wouldn't be the one through the cable company

I'm glad you are able to watch things. We do enjoy our cable but it is expensive. I believe if we got rid of it I would need Hulu to watch primetime TV on.
