Tuesday talk

Well hello there cupcake

Wow, did we ever have some windy weather here. It started on Sunday and I listened to it roaring all night. It carried on through part of Monday as well. Along with the wind we got some snow. Not a lot, just enough to almost cover the ground. That wind was pretty scary though. Although it may have caused damage for some the worst that happened here was that the tarp that was covering the riding mower blew off and my garbage can tipped over.

It was another lazy day. I had no ambition to do anything. I found sitting under a warm blanket to be the most appealing thing I could think of. I've had the thermostat set at the same temperature all winter, yet yesterday felt so much colder than it has been.

I did have to go out briefly to pick up a couple of prescriptions but then it was right back home.
That's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Wind can be very scary. In Colorado we had not one ... but TWO blow over thru the roof of our house!!!

Wind is scary to me, especially after having been through several hurricanes.

That cupcake looks yummy!

Hope you are soon all well.

wind terrifys me when it is over 40 mph, we get those gusts to 60 and 70 in some storms and I can't sleep if it is blowing. I smiled when I saw the cocoanut in the cupcake, I just made a batch of oatmeal frozen cookies and added cocoanut this time. and my frozen cookied have rasins instead of choc chip

For me wind is unsettling and it always seems to make the house feel colder. It's good that your damage was so minimal. ^^

Oh that cupcake and cookies sure look yummy. It was very windy here too and no fun at all. Have a great day Ann.

Yum....you might not have the UMP to get up and go but you are making my day with the sweets. Cookies look great. I understand the "no get up and go or do" . Have two homes I need to be working on and at this point it is not going well or fast.

I hate those high winds. We have some rain coming in but it is much needed...hope it's not stormy. Thanks again for being such a sweet friend and coming to my aid this week! It means the world to me! Hugs!

We had the exact same thing! Bad wind for two days! It just ended last night. Several thousand are still without power, trees and lines went down. I bet you made this cupcake. Sitting at home under a blanket, what could be better! Well, Gibbs under it with you.

A cupcake in one hand, a cookie in the other. Didn't someone call that a balanced diet?

We've had crummy weather here for about three straight weeks. I'd like to get some at least "decent" weather so I can spend some time outside.

We've had very windy days and lots of rain. Lots and lots of rain. It's been a long winter weather wise, but we're hoping it will warm up soon.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

mmm need that cupcake. got a good cake recipe yesterday, I have had variations.

SEX IN A PAN
1 devils food cake mix (can be delight)
1 jar Caramel Butterscotch Topping
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
4 regular size Snicker candy bars (freeze)
Prepare cake mix according to the directions on the package. (Bake in a 13x9 inch cake pan.) Remove cake from oven when done; make holes in cake with a straw. Pour butterscotch topping on cake.
Place cake back in warm oven - making sure the oven is turned off - for 10 minutes. Remove cake and pour sweetened condensed milk over top. Put chocolate chips over milk. Put 2 containers of Cool Whip on top of chocolate chips. Break SNICKERS® bars with a hammer and put on top of the Cool Whip. Place in refrigerator until ready to eat. This is better if made the day before

Your pictures made me hungry! I'm glad you took it easy and snuggled under a warm blanket. I'm glad the wind didn't do more damage. They can be scary.

Like everyone else here, I hate the wind. It is scary because when you are a homeowner, you know that it can easily cause expensive damage to your house and property. We nearly lost our fence on Sunday---but you know that already. I'm glad that you didn't have any damage. That's the LAST thing you need, right?!

I think all that wind made the house colder. Ours was like that too.

Darn it....now I just want a cupcake!

Before the roof was replaced on my house every time the wind blew I would find shingles in my yard. Ever since then the wind just makes me nervous

I know exactly what you mean.

I can verify that the cupcake was as yummy as it looks

Ann said...

I don't know if its the weather or the cold I've had or maybe a combination of both.

Ann said...

I don't know if anyone lost power around here or not. I haven't heard of too much damage.
No I didn't make the cupcake. It was a store bought one.

I need to stop eathing things like this but it was so irresistable.

Ann said...

I need to stop snacking on things like this. I'm going to be bigger than a house

Ann said...

LOL, yes, absolutely

Decent weather would be nice. I'm tired of winter.

Winter just keeps dragging on. I know according to the calendar it's not spring yet but I'm so ready for it

Ann said...

For some reason it just gives me an uneasy feeling when it's a really strong wind

Ann said...

That cake sounds delicious

Ann said...

I could use a couple more of those days. I'm ready for a vacation

Ann said...

Yes, damage is not something I need.

I’ll take that cupcake...♥️

It was windy here too just about blew me away it was so strong. The best place to be is under a snuggly blanket! I could use a cupcake right now!

The wind was indeed awful... and scary! My house felt cold too. I'm glad you were able to stay home and under your blanket during it all, Ann. I did the exact same thing. Love, Andrea xoxo

Living in Illinois very bad winds always meant we could have a tornado. Moving to California 30 years ago I had the hardest time getting use to our Santa Ana winds that we get in the Winter. They don't bother me anymore but I know what you mean about the winds. Glad all is well.
