Just call me four eyes

I got a call last Monday that my glasses were ready and I could pick them up at my earliest convenience. The earliest I could get there was yesterday. I headed out yesterday morning so I could get it out of the way.  They weren't busy at all so I was in and out of there pretty quick.

These are no line bifocals. They are going to take some getting used to.

I like the glasses themselves but I'm having a hard time with looking out the wrong part of the lens. Like I said, it'll take some getting used to

So this whole week is going to be totally messed up. There are people taking days off this week at work so my days off changed to cover that. I have Monday and Tuesday off this week and then I'm working Saturday. I also have an appointment on Friday to get my vehicle inspected. I'm hoping I can make it through one more year without needing tires but I'm not so sure. I'm already looking forward to this week being over with. I think I need to schedule some vacation time.

I like your glasses, they are a bit like mine. I don't now if I would be able to get used to this kind, you'll have to let us know how it's going. I'm glad you have two days in a row off.

Looks good, I think it will take a week's time to get used to.

Yourvgkasses look great...I have only ever used the no line bifocals...they seem the most natural thing to me and the ones with lines bother me...cant think whose i tried on. So hopefully you will get used to them...

My glasses are similar - just a bit more oval. I could never get used to bifocals and for some reason, in my old age my near vision got better so I don't need glasses for reading anymore, just distance which is a total PITA because when I'm out if I need to read something I have to take my glasses off. I'm always, 'Let me take my glasses off so I can see"

Vacation is always my first choice!

And bifcoals are the pits. I had 'em, didn't like 'em...took 'em back & had two pair made (buy one get one free) - one for reading & one for driving.

See (pardon the pun), I love them...so convenient...it's all about moving your head (which in my old age is good for neck strength). As for tires, I just found out I have to get new ones but I'm going to hold off until the Fall...:)jp

Yes, we all need a vacation even if we do nothing but hang at home! Our, well at least my body demands it from time to time! I tried the no lines yrs ago and just hung it up, could not do it for looking out the wrong section. I do however wear them now. I don't know if last time they were not right or what.....the or what being me as the issue!

Love the glasses. I have some bifocals and I really don't care for them. Hopefully you will get use to them soon.

SO CUTE!! I love the frames you chose!

I have the no-line bifocals, but you get used to them quickly. Especially when you can see better. Also, I wear one contact lens in my left eye for close-up. It's amazing how your eyes and brain can figure this out. I think you will do fine.

I had them on first thing this morning and when I first got to work they were really bothering me. I took them off until after I finished frying donuts then put them on for the rest of the day. It was getting better so we shall see

Thanks. Well I hope it doesn't take any longer than that :)

I had bifocals a long time ago and didn't like them so I don't know what made me decide to try them again. I guess because now I need them for reading. When I had them before I didn't

I'm over due for vacation time. I've only taken 2 out of my 15 days so far this year.

I had them on today at work and my eyes couldn't figure out which part of the lens they were supposed to be looking through. By the end of the day it got a little better.

I've needed them for distance from the first time I got glasses but never needed them for up close. The up close has gotten worse. I work with a girl who has to take her glasses off to read things.

I love your glasses. Well done.

I hated changing my days off all the time. I so remember.

Have a fabulous day and enjoy getting used to your new glasses. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Your glasses look great on you! I'm not sure what no line bi-focals are but it sounds like they're similar, if not the same, as my progressive lenses. I love them because I don't have to take my glasses off to see close up yet can also see far away. I hope you get used to them soon! And yes, definitely take some vacation time soon!

I have the same issue nowadays as well...I wear them when I'm out, because I might need to see something in the distance. A few times in the library I have put them on a shelf and then walked with out them...twice when getting my hair cut, and the asst ran after me...

Thanks. I hate changing the day off too. I'll be all messed up for the entire week.

Ann said...

Thanks. I don't think there's any difference between progressive and no line bifocals. It's just that there isn't that obvious line in the lens

Thanks
