All in a day off

It was mostly a very lazy day off yesterday. I took my good old sweet time lounging in my pajamas drinking coffee and reading blogs.

Once I got myself dressed I did some playing in the craft room. I know it sounds pretty early for this but I decided that I wanted to make my Christmas cards this year. I got some supplies together and had some fun.

When I was done with that I layed down on the couch and took a nap. That was followed by a trip to Walmart for dog food and a few groceries.

I think every road leading in/out of the small town I live in is currently under construction. There's no escaping it.

Us too. Road construction is everywhere. Even Night Work, so no waiting till dark to go places.

It's the same way here. BUT, some roads that are being repaired don't need it while other streets that need it ate being ignored. I look forward to seeing your cards.

Same here...the bridge over the Wabash river has been down to one lane forever. And not even one zude is completed. I felt like this will probably last a year.

we are year 2 of construction, it is on every road we travel... did you look for exits in WM? can't wait to see what you created

I'm anxious to get some new craft project started. Maybe I'll do the altered books again! Love lots of pretty paper. Hope you have a nice day today!

Making your Christmas cards should keep you busy for a while, I design mine but someone else prints them. I expect yours will be totally fab!

As much as I hate delays in traffic, I wish my area would get some much needed road work. Instead...they seem to do more patching and pot hole filling than anything else. I think it's time the US spent more on upgrading our roadways and bridges.
I have started a new project- planner journaling. Except I lead a fairly boring life and don't have that much to put in it yet...working on changing that. Have a blessed day!

Never to early to get started on Christmas cards!

Even our local side streets are under construction with them replacing our water pipes. Our world is a very dusty, dirty and congested one these days.

I'm glad you had a good day off. I love lounging around and not rushing off somewhere. I get the construction too. There's a lot of it here too.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

The supplies for the Christmas cards looks really cute. That's like us traveling to Montana, they are fixing roads everywhere because the summer is the only time they can do it with snowy Winters! Sounds like a relaxing day.

I'm not sure if they are working at night here since I never go out. Once I get home from work I'm in for the day

I never quite figure out why they choose to work on some and not others. Some of the roads that are being worked on didn't seem like they were all that bad

I can never figure out why they wait till so late in the year to get started. I hardly saw any construction going on all spring and most of the summer until the past couple weeks

Thanks. I seem to be getting quite good at lounging lately

These are going pretty quick because I'm not getting real fancy with them. They are actually pretty plain in comparison to some I have made lately. I think I will do a few extra special ones too but these will be what the majority of people get.

Sounds like a good day off to us. A nap is always nice. Can't wait to see the Christmas cards.

It sounds like a great day off in spite of the traffic. You're smart to start playing with Christmas cards so early--- all the fun goes out when we feel rushed to finish.

It really was a nice day and I always enjoy a day off no matter what I've got going on.
I agree on the rush to finish. I've had plenty of years where I was under pressure to get things done and I did not have much fun.
