It actually doesn't serve any purpose anymore because the hood was replaced with a over the stove microwave and that fan isn't vented outside. Any way, it didn't look quite right and I took a closer look.
Holy smokes!!! How long has that thing been building? I made a trip to Walmart for some wasp and hornet spray. I am not about to share my home with these guys.

They were building one inside our boat and we took care of that pronto. They sting something awful.

They sure do. I think I'll block the vent also to keep them from going back in
I did spray the other night. It killed them instantly and I didn't see any more activity at all. I expected a boat load of them to come flying out but nope. Dead. The can said that it will also kill the ones that return. I haven't taken it out of there yet but I need to soon
I sprayed it and haven't seen any more activity. The can said to wait 24 hours so I should be good to go out there and take it down now
They had started another one between my storm door and inside door to the basement. That was a small one that I knocked down
I'm not allergic but I don't care to get stung by them. I am not sharing my house with them

Yikes....that is not good at all. Hoping the spray took care of that stinging issue.

It killed them on contact. Now I just need to take it down and then block that off so they can't get back in there to build again
