End of year

I'll end 2019 with a final post on Christmas. Christmas day was a very quiet one. It was just me and Gibbs hanging out and doing a whole lot of nothing.

After I had my first cup of coffee the two of us went to the living room so that could open the presents that Santa left for him in his stocking. He thought the treats were extra yummy and he enjoyed playing with his new toy.

And last but not least was the gift that Gibbs gave to me. He gave me the gift of companionship. While he's not always the best behaved dog there is, in the past year and half we have made great progress together.

Gibbs and I look forward to another year of sharing with our blog friends We'll see you all next year.

I wonder how long that toy will last. Reminded me of our Little Bit. She was 80 pounds of destruction where toys were concerned.

A wonderful gift of "love" between/with your current best friend...even if the mischievous times, but also knowing that brings joy and variety to your life...always waiting at the door for you to come home, even if there is a ripped up cushion waiting for you in the next room...

Ginny, thank you

Anni, aww thanks

Gayle, you are so right

Grace, Thanks and happy new year to you

Sandee, for as hard as he shakes them he isn't nearly as hard on toys as Duke used to be

Lin, thanks

Sheryl, glad you liked it

Catherine, LOL, no ripped cushions from Gibbs, He's never been too destructive with things like that.

Gibbs is a cutie. At a glance I thought your Christmas photo could be a photo of me, not like a twin but a certain resemblance. Happy 2020.

Oh, I love this post! The video of Gibbs and the sweet, sweet pic of the two of you. That companionship makes it all worth it (most times). I replayed the video a few times and Toby got excited when he heard the squeaky toy.

Our boy is almost 9 months old and though he is a sweetheart, he is way more puppy than we bargained for. His enthusiasm when people come to visit is over the top. I have read that will subside as he gets older. Sure hope it does.
