In the back they had the Chocolate Kingdom.
The final stop was to Philadelphia candies. I purchase a half pound box of assorted chocolates and when Amanda and I got in the car and went to sample them we discovered that the lady messed up what I asked for. I asked for a mixture of raspberry, chocolate cream and coconut. There were no chocolate in the box and there were orange cream which I didn't ask for. It was still pretty tasty though.
And that concludes our day out.

This first one is so impressive that I enlarged it, and wow I can see so much more! So is Daffin's also the name of the candy, or just the store? Do they have different brands, or their own brand? It is the biggest chocolate store I have ever seen! Usually they are tiny.
You handled getting the wrong candy better than I would have...
That sounds like a wonderfully adventuresome day. I'm so glad you could do it.
Love the Easter display!! I bet that store smells like Hershey Pennsylvania does!!!!
I would have taken the candy back and asked for what I wanted. all three of the stores have been like fantasy land. love the chocolate elephants and if I had not given up sugar 5 years ago could eat one of those elephants in a couple of days... i saw annies comment and wonder if it did smell like chocolate
Oh no! No chocolate!! Sinful!
I love an orange curd but have never cared for orange creams...I know, weird!

Okay, everything looks amazing but that CHOC room would be the room I would love for sure!!!

Should have zipped back in, and had her give you, what you wanted. It was your Birthday ya' know. :-)

That's a great day spent with your daughter!
Oh my gosh! I would have had a hard time getting out of both of those candy stores without major purchases!! That Daffin's Easter display was so cute! Bummer though with the other store getting your order messed up. It sounded easy enough to me! We have a local family owned/run candy store here, Ceretta's. We go in there a few times a year and buy their "bulk" candy, i.e. the chocolates they have wrapped up where you can choose what you want, as much as you want, put it in a bag (with Covid there are gloves you wear to grab the candy and everything like I said is prewrapped) and then they weigh it at the counter and you pay so much per pound. Always so tasty! I would do it every month if I wasn't concerned about my weight :)
It looked like you had a delightful time with your daughter! Glad we got to spend your day with you!
betty
nice day out for you - getting lots of inspiration for your own crafts making...
I would be in a lot of trouble in a chocolate store :), especially one like this. Thanks for taking us along.
That's a huge candy store and what a beautiful Easter display. Love the chocolate kingdom too! Sorry about the candy mix up. :(
