trip part 5

After walking through all of the displays we browsed through the store. There were lots of wonderful items and this one I would have loved to have taken home.Wouldn't that have fit just perfectly in the Ann cave? Unfortunately the $300 price tag told me to walk on by.

After we left Kraynak's we went to lunch at Eat'n Park. The waitress came up to our table and I asked her about the senior citizen discount. She said that I could get it and then Amanda pointed out that it was my birthday on Monday and I would be 60 so that's why I was asking. When she brought the check she gave me a happy birthday cookie.

A cookie?!! I think she should've given you a discount instead.
I like the lamp. Yes, it would be great for Ann Cave. (The cardinal seems to be out of place tho)

Pretty cookie and sweet of her...You are considered a Senior Citizen at 55 here in Texas. Most restaurants give 10% discounts...but I usually have to ask for it!
Also, at our grocery store, you get the extra 5% discount off your grocery purchase on Tuesdays... I like that!
What's the plan for your Birthday on Monday??

I love that lamp! I think you should have gotten a discount too instead of a cookie!

I had to chuckle about the senior discount. They don't even ask us. Tells you how old we look. Nice on the cookie though.

Have a fabulous day off tomorrow, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

That is one good looking cookie! Was it good? Now I am wondering if you never want to eat sweets because you work in a bakery? Do you get to eat anything there for free? Maybe things that don't bake well and won't be sold? Do you get a discount? Are you sick of sweets? Curious bloggers want to know! Funny how a simple cookie can make me so curious about so many things. The tree looks like real Birch, but I bet it is resin.

That is such an adorable lamp! I'd be tempted to buy it as an early birthday present and then I probably would talk myself out of it :) Looking at the picture though will bring a smile to your face I would imagine! So sweet with the birthday cookie!
