I was out early this morning and on my way back home the sun was coming up. Since the view of any sunrise or sunset from home is always blocked by other houses, I took the opportunity to search out a better location. I took a little detour on a side road.
It took me all of 5 minutes out of my way but it did a world of wonder for my spirit. I took the picture and drove back home with a smile on my face. What started off as a good morning turned into a glorious one.

Very nice! 5 minutes in exchange for a good day- that's an exceptional deal.
so pretty! i love sunrises and sunsets... there is just something so seren about them!
I know exactly what you mean, Ann, looking at the grander of God's nature always puts things into perspective for me...I can't wait to get my car so I can experience those sunrises and sunsets again...
It is those tiny moments that hit you how wonderful it is to be alive on this good green earth. :) It is lovely, isn't it?
That is a gorgeous sunrise but you were actually on your way back home as the sun was coming up? That's pretty early! When you're rewarded with seeing something so pretty it might not all be that bad!
Goodness....what a glorious sunrise capture!!! Thumps-up!
Oh, georgous!! We can't see a sunset without it being blocked and have to drive about 10 minutes away.
That's a wonderful sight! I remember when I worked nights, I would love to see the sunrise; it just made my day.
Hope you are having a terrific weekend :)
What a gorgeous sunrise!
I think I like sun rise better than sunset - when I worked nights it was the last thing I saw before going to sleep...
It's amazing what seeing something so beautiful can do to your spirit, just takes my breath away. GORGEOUS picture Annie.
Looking at this beautiful sunrise would do any person a world of good ~ a great way to start the day to be sure!!

what a beautiful sunrise Ann...and I don't see much snow about...does this mean it didn't hang around too long??
Our Heavenly Father sure can paint a pretty picture--can't He?
Well now you know me...I just love a good sunrise!! ;o)
Gorgeous! Love those cotton candy skies!
a glorious photo for sure and glad you took that detour. yesterday at 7:10 am as i drove over the green bridge the sun coming up was so breathtaking i could not drive. no photo, no place to stop, but it is in my memory and made my day just like this made yours.
This is a great time to be part of. What a nice shot, it gets hard to find that good place without clusters of manmade stuff in your way.
So peaceful and Beautiful Ann...
Happy Sunday Girl!

Have a glorious day. My best to Duke. :)
There is nothing like a beautiful Sunrise or Sunset. It is only better if you are watching it with a loved one sharing a bottle of wine.(Sunset)
