Show and tell

First off I should say sorry for all the pictures but I had to show it all.

When we got to Volant it was a little early so we had some time to kill before the shops opened. Just our luck we saw a sign advertising a craft sale. We almost didn't stop because it was in someones house but then we decided why not. This woman had her garage set up with all kinds of great stuff and the prices could NOT be beat.

This was a little ornament that I bought for 50 cents.
Found these battery operated tea lights in one of the Volant shops

This I bought at the craft sale that lady was having. I left the price tag on her so you could see how much I paid for her
Yep that says $5.00

This I found in one of the Volant shops. I just loved it. They had it in two different sizes. I bought the bigger one. This will fit right in to the collection of snowmen that I have
After I paid for Frosty's magic hat we discovered that we had totally missed the upstairs of this shop. Well we couldn't miss a thing so up the stairs we went. After looking around back to the register to pay for this great find.

I did bring home one other thing that I really hadn't bargained for.
Yep, that's a hole in the knee of the best pair of jeans I own. No, it wasn't there when I left home. We were walking along having a great time and I wasn't paying attention to the fact that Volant does not have the most even sidewalks. Next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the ground. At least I saved the camera. I ended up with a ruined pair of jeans and a scraped up knee. It didn't seem too bad at the time but boy was it sore the next day. Apparently a fall to the ground requires the use of several muscles that I must not use frequently enough, because I'm also quite sore in a couple other places....lol Ah but it was all worth it.
Have a great night

Ah, bummer about the crash and burn! It hurts like the dickens, doesn't it?! And you ruined your good jeans??? Ugh. Love your treasures though.

Wow, you did very well shopping wise. Great buys.

Sorry about your favorite jeans, and even more sorry about the scraped up knee and all the other sore spots.

Have a terrific day. :)

Ouch and ouch!! For the tumble and the bruises.
Just had to leave a little note about the ornament - do my eyes deceive me it is an angel for the tree isn't it? What an unusual find. Don't forget to hold it in your hand and make a wish the first time that you place it on the tree. It is said that if you do this to an angel then you will be allowed one wish every year thereafter. So it's worth doing for you wouldn't want to miss such a lovely opportunity. :)

Fabulous finds during your shopping trip! Sorry about your fall. I tend to be prone to falling too and wiped out at a mission in San Antonio last April but I also saved my camera!

Lovely finds! I just adore Frosty's hat!

That's not so good on the jeans, but at least you saved the camera. The jeans are a little cheaper to replace!

Some great finds! Love the colorful bag. Maybe you could patch your jeans with a color patch to match the bag! LOL

Seriously, sorry about the fall. I know I took one a week ago and couldn't believe how sore I was the next day.

What a great looking place to visit and shop, sounded like you had a great time up until the fall. I sure hope you're feeling better soon Ann. People spend high prices for holey jeans. Loved all your treasures.

Jeans can be replaced and I actually think a few holes add character, but thank goodness you saved the camera! You got some great finds there. I really like the bag and the 50 cent ornament, wow!

You had a great shopping trip! I LOVE Frosty's magic hat. Bummer that you ruined your best pair of jeans and skinned your knee, too. It would have been the perfect day if it weren't for that. Good thing you had some great things to show for your battle wounds!

Lin yep sure does

Sandee oh well the scrapes were worth it

Kloggers yes it's an angel for the tree. I've never heard about that I'll have to do that.

Beaded tail better the knee than the camera right?

Storm Couldn't pass up the hat.

FishHawk I have no idea I'll have to see if I can find out

Roschelle NO WAY, WOOHOO Thanks so much

DK Miller yeah I don't get that though, buying "NEW" jeans with holes already in them

Vanilla I'll live :)

Buggy This one has a round wood base and it feels like one of those mache boxes. The sign reads "Frosty's magic hat, just add snow" They also had a smaller version made out of a felt hat (the kind you find in the craft stores)

Tanyia, I don't like holes in my jeans though :)

Jody cool idea, I just may do that

Donna, thanks I'll survive to shop another day :)

Jude I even had fun after the fall

Lenox knits I would have been really upset about the camera that would have hurt worse

Tanya yes it sure was

B Boys Mom yep doesn't feel so achy today

Split Rock Ranch yes and I would do it all again even if it meant I had to take another tumble..lol

Looks like someone has a blast shopping :) I can't wait to shop for X'mas!

Holes are stylish on jeans... I've seen my nieces and nephews purposely cutting their jeans to look groovy!

Nessa said...

Oops! I meant had instead of has. I hate it when I make a typo :(

Ann said...

Miawa, isn't that hat just the cutest? Yeah don't know what I would have done if I had broke my camera.

Nessa I sure did only thing was everything I bought was for me, I didn't get one single Christmas present...lol
