The theme is Wood, so without further ado here are my pictures.
This is a hanging on my wall and I like the way the edges of it are so rough. My son gave me this a year or so ago. It has a picture of a wolf on it. When I took this I didn't want to see anything in the photo other than the edges of the piece.
This one is a decorative wood bird feeder that I have sitting on the top of my kitchen cupboards. For added measure I even used a wood texture overlay in the photo.

I love wooden plaques like the one in your first picture. I think it's the edges that I like about them.
Those are great entries! I wouldn't have thought of taking photos like that but I'm not nearly as creative as you are. Good luck in the challenge!

Well I'm not entirely sure what this is all about...the last photo is a great shot...maybe the first is too and I'm just to dumb to see what it is?!?!?! Am I supposed to guess?? Do you just have to take pictures according to a theme??? Maybe it's just too early in the morning.. :-(
I love wood; the grains, the textures (even the smell of freshly cut lumber :o) I think you did just fine - the overlay on the birdhouse looks neat! Now I think I'm going to have to sneak over and check out the Brenda photo challenge :o)
Looks good Ann. I love the pictures of wood. I use to make little fairies,bird houses,a frog swinging in a tree and a lot of other misc. things. Back in my crafting days.

I love both and anything wooden. I have a series of native american wooden plaques similar to your first photo. When my Mom was alive she would buy one each time she was up in Reno, Nevada. They look similar to yours. They are beautiful.

Ratty same here. I remember years ago, my dad had a set of plaques on his wall that had the same edges
Beaded tail probably not the best composed picture but what the heck I'm not going for the big bucks here...lol
VS it's one of my favorite bird feeders, it's really rustic looking
allotments4you yes they give the theme and you have to take a picture (up to 3) to represent that theme.
Jen I'm a bit of a wood freak too. Love the smell of fresh cut pine.

Poetic Shutterbug Native American and wolves sort of fit well together. Maybe that's why this one had the rough edges like that.

I don't know enough about this challenge to comment on your wood-photos.
I would like to thank you for visiting my blog and commenting on my post for Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday-post.
But please don't put yourself down. I am sure you are good at doing lot's of things that I am not so good at.
Been looking at Beaded Tail's Etsy shop. I wish I could do something both elegant and "cat-friendly" that could be sold as a way of earning money to donate to this cat shelter that burnt down.
But the local people have been very good at helping out.
What I am trying to say is that I don't show all the mistakes that I have made, or silver wire that I have ruined, all the necklaces that no one wants to wear. I am still learning how to make earrings. Since I don't wear posts or earwires myself, it took me a long time to understand that I really should make earrings because there are alot of women who like to wear them and are potential customers. So I have had to learn a lot from my local buyers who have told me what they like.
I fight frustration by putting it into a box and going on to something else for a time. Unfortunately I have a lot of boxes containing unfinished projects up in the attic or hidden in closets.

Anna I have a box with all kinds of unfinished projects. Some I get back to some just keep on sitting. I've actually never minded showing my mistakes, if it wasn't for the mistakes, I would never learn much :)
