I had a bit of a tiring but nice day yesterday. There was a rather large craft show that I wanted to go to and my daughter was supposed to go with me. I hadn't heard from her so I texted her in the morning to see if she had changed her mind. Turns out she had to work and forget to tell me. It was too late to find someone else to go with so I decided to go alone. I only bought one ornament but I enjoyed walking around looking at all they had to offer. After that I went to a couple different stores. The first one had lines that were a mile long so I didn't even consider buying anything. The second one I managed to pick up a few Christmas gifts. My plan was to stop somewhere and get something to eat but I decided to head home and make myself a nice big salad instead.
Funny thing happened while I was out. I wore those $5 shoes that I blogged about and told you my daugher said I paid $5 too much for them. I had 3 different compliments from total strangers and another one from someone I knew. Looks like she is the only one who doesn't like them.

Hi Ann glad you had a lovely day,yes I liked those shoes too,lol xx
Hurray for you, and hurray for those shoes!
Sounds like a great day. It's always nice to hear compliments!! Where's the photo of the ornament? Is this a yearly tradition....a new ornament each year?
I told you I liked them, but I can't wear those type shoes, but would if I could. I checked our WM and they were 8 not 5. you got a real deal.. I am glad you went out by yourself, I have to push myself to do that and once I do I wonder why I did not before, but next time don't do it. yay for a little shopping done and a day away from home
That sure does sound like a good day. Those sound like mighty fine shoes. Ann, you have a great Sunday.
Those shoes and the compliments received just shows you've got good taste - you go girl!!! :)
That was a great day and hey, if you like those shoes that's all that matters! But it is nice to get confirmation!
Sometimes I like to go to things by myself...so I can look at what I want or not. Go at my own pace. I liked those shoes, too.
Ginny, yes it was a good day and I was totally wiped out by the time I got home...lol
Shery. Thanks
CheerfulMonk, thank you
Anni, those little compliments can go a long way. The ornament isn't a tradition It was made using a canning jar lid and I bought it so that I can duplicate it...lol
Marg Thank you
We had the same idea; Saturday I went to a craft show by myself and bought two gifts from local craftspeople. They are happy to get the money and I am happy to find beautiful gifts.
I love that you got compliments on those shoes.
