No holly jolly

I don't know what it is the last several days but my mood has been awful. It might start out ok but then it goes south so easy. I get to work in the morning and instantly find myself irritated by things people have either done or not done. I think I'm in dire need of a long winters nap.

Either that or I need to escape to this place. (found this on Facebook)

I know it's snowy and I hate snow but I think if I could hibernate here all winter I could be perfectly happy. Just stock the cupboards with food and give me internet access and some craft supplies.

Gibbs looks so comfy. This place is where our Simba loves to sleep too. I think you may not be getting enough sleep? I wish for you your very own cabin!

I'd take a mountain cabin too. IN THE SUMMER. No snow for me ever again. Well, maybe. Down here it melts off by 8-9 a.m.

LOVE the Gibbs fix. He's a doll.

I don't think its just you Anne, I hate the winter and am often blue. Just recently I have to really work on being up. Christmas doesn't help, it annoys me having it rammed down my throat everywhere.
There, I told you I was a bah humbug, lol
Love little Gibbs though, never bah humbug about him.

Gibbs looks so relaxed. I have slowly started on decorating for Christmas. Got the little tree set up with lights yesterday, the rest will follow, and I started on the mantle with the Creche and some faux greenery. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.

Just take each day as it comes dear Ann, create your own peace and joy. Your home is your haven, let it bring you comfort. Love, hugs and prayers for you this Christmas season.

Can I join you? I'm having the same 'mood' this year which is most unusual for me since the festive season is my most favourite time of the year ... perhaps it's the prevailing attitude that is the root of the problem - the media and people in general are just so negative that I'm concerned it's wearing off onto me. Perhaps we need a support group, lol. :)

I think just to stay in for a day or two, not have to go anywhere or worry about what to est would be wonderful...

I get like that too. But...just know that the funk will pass. In the meantime, try to do some things that just feel good. Stop and watch a movie, make some hot chocolate, go for a walk in nature....find the things that make you avoid the negatives for a bit.

I went to a Christmas concert last night, alone. It was 2 hours of quiet happiness. That sort of stuff saves me when I get in a funk.

When it's cold and gloomy we can be just the same. I would love that hideaway. Without the snow though.

Have a better day, Ann. Big hug to you and lot of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Can I go with you??? I've been feeling exactly the same way, everything has irritated! Gibbs looks happy.

Ginny, I'm pretty sure I'm getting enough sleep, I guess it's just the time of year.

Anni I don't like the snow but if I can just stay inside and be nice and warm I'll adapt.

Briony, I know what you mean about Christmas being rammed down your throat. It does get irritating.

Lin, I think that sounds like a good plan. It would work even better if I could take some time away from work. Those people are driving me crazy

Sandee Well you know how I feel about snow but if I can stay inside and not have to deal with it I would be ok

Andrea Yep, that's all I need to keep me happy

You don't need to go anywhere, just a long vacation at home with your crafts and internet. Working all the time sucks. :(

I find that my mood is not as good during the winter months. I have to find things to do to keep me going . . . projects make the days seem better; I think it's a combination of less sunshine and being cooped inside. I admire people who get outdoors and take walks when it's cold and grey outside, but that's just not me. The last thing I need is to slip and fall, that and I hate being cold for very long at a time.
The bears have it right . . . long winter naps :)

I believe you have SAD - a disorder related to season/al.

I get annoyed with Christmas (in your face) all the time...phone/and in my face start with "how's your Christmas shopping going?" "What are doing for C?" and "so on..."

People get such a fright, when I say "I don't do Christmas..." and they then say "not even presents"..."nope, stopped that years ago, prefer to randomly gift during the year.

I always have invitations for the day, I rarely turn up. I wander around on the day, enjoying life, sometimes sitting near a big party type at the beach (remember I'm in Southern Hemisphere/summer) Last year I went on a Christmas themed tour but it had lots of other things in the mix. Not sure what I'm doing this year, health issues are in the forefront...
