snow day

Yesterday was a cold and blustery day. I woke up somewhere between 2 and 3 in the morning and heard thunder. When I got up at 4:20 I thought I was going to have to stand by the door and wait for Gibbs while he did his business because I thought it was raining. When I opened the door I was surprised by the snow that was covering the ground. The temp by the time I left work for the day was 27 with a real feel of 12.

It may have been cold outside...

...but these snowmen in my house were nice and cozy warm.

There's just something about snowmen that bring a smile. Same weather for us.

Your snowmen are sooo cute! We got fresh snow yesterday along with a lot of wind - there are snowbanks today - must be January. ;)

I know we would probably be better off with those temps, but still dont have to like them. Your snowmen are so cute.

It's raining here this morning and we're happy about that. We love the rain in the winter. Snow is pretty to look at, but I don't want to shovel snow so I can go somewhere. Just saying.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches and an extra treat for Gibbs. ♥

Such cute snowman! But wait...you get up at 4:20??? Yikes! Or maybe that was just to let Gibbs out, I hope so.

Our weather is unseasonably warm at the moment, I can't see us getting snow any time soon. Poor Gibbs must have frozen having his wee. lol

Anni, thanks.

Gayle, I agree I have a soft spot for snowmen

Sandee, I don't mind the rain except it turns the yard muddy and then my floor have muddy paw prints all over them.

Ginny Yep, I get up at 4:20 every morning except for on my days off. Those days I sleep in till maybe 5:30

Marg, thanks. I do like my snowmen

Briony, ours has been very mild compared to other winters. Although it's still early and that could change.

I just wish you didn't have to go out in it!

oh SNOW..okay, I probably would hate it but it looks so inviting...it's still not summery here, the stiff breeze from the South is pretty busy. At least we haven't had any more "orange/haze glow" from Aussie bush fires. But they do say that the grey tinged clouds is actually smoke AND we can expect more "orange atmosphere days if the wind direction changes again" We are more than 2000 km from Australia and I know some of the smoke has also gone further afield to S. America...
