Back to work

So it's back to work for me today. I'm anticipating a busy day since I'll have some catching up to do on things I haven't done for the last 4 days. Gibbs will not be pleased that I'm going back to work today.

I didn't spend my last day off being very ambitious but I did play in the craft room just a little. I downloaded a free cut file from Simply crafty SVGs. It was for their tulip trio card.

This folds flat to fit in an envelop and the finished size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

The original project has 3 different colored tulips but I chose to do all three the same because it was less loading paper into the cricut machine.

I decided to run the green strips through my embossing machine and then highlighted the embossed areas with a green stamp pad.

By changing the sentiment, this card would be good for Easter, Mother's day, birthday or just about any occasion.

WOW! That is just beautiful!

Tell Gibbs that having everyone home all the time can be annoying too. Owen has just about had his fill of us being home. He is soooo crabby!

Be safe while at work. I am also still working since I do home healthcare. Indiana just went to an executive stay at home order. I know it won't change much as people will still be out to stores that are open. I just hope we are not seeing these shutdowns lasting much longer than two or three weeks.

Cool card! I did something yesterday also. Had to push myself to get going on it but once I did I moved on with it. Actually primed and painted two pieces. Those will come later in the blog. Have a good day at work.

Sandee, well since it pay the bills I'll be there :)

Lin, thanks. I'll pass that message on to Gibbs :)

Carol, I hear you. There are going to be a lot of people hurting financially if this goes on too long

Catherine, thanks. The nice thing is the machine does all the hard work cutting the pieces out, I just glue them together.

CheerfulMonk thank you. The older I get the more slow and easy suits me.

Grace, thanks. It's easy when you have all the pieces cut and a video to show you how to put it all together..lol

Reeni thanks. I can't remember the last time I bought a card.

Kate, thanks

Anni, Thank you. The spring colors are what I'm craving right now.

Pam thank you. Good for you getting things going. I wish once I start I could keep up the momentum but one project and then I fizzle out again.
