another doctor's appointment

Monday I had another doctor's appointment. This time it was for blood work and a pap test. This time I remembered to take some pictures while I was sitting there. When you first walk in there's a camera on a tripod. You walk up to it, line your face up with the outline of a head and it takes your temperature

The waiting room is pretty dinky and boring
The exam room had more things to take pictures of. There were quilts all over the place

Next I have x-rays, a mammogram, and an appointment with an orthopedic specialist. I'm supposed to do all of that on May 25th

I'm so glad you had your camera, I have never seen this temperature camera tripod thingie!! I have also never in my life seen quilts in any kind of office building, how oddly charming! Perhaps the thinking is that they will put patients at ease and make it feel more homey. Now, WHY are you going to an orthopedic specialist? Bad knees?

Quilts in a doctor's office...dust collectors. How do they keep them clean & sanitized y'wonder? You have quite a schedule of appointments lined up.

I hate all those medical checks, always worried that I'll come out less happy than I went in. lol

you are getting the whole shebang of checkups. i am with ginny, my first ever tripod thermometer. wow.. they need one of these at the YMCA.. you are right, the lobby is a tad boring, but i think i see a fish tank. i am with Annie, my first thought was not healthy to have all those quilts in a germ enviroment. i bet an inspection would make them take them down. they are goregous though and someone has a true talent. and certainly not boring... good luck with all the tests. what is the orth doc for

I would have loved to see all the quilts! Interesting way to take temp.

The quilts make it feel more homey but like others said, not so sure how sterile that would be.

Hubby and I have doctors appointments all the time too. The older you get the more you go. Love the quilts. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Somebody read somewhere that quilts make your place "homey" or something. I think one on the wall would suffice. This is pretty much a mess! And I agree with the others--sort of germy, no?

Hope you have good results from all those tests!

I understand the Doc apts. My May had a couple myself. I had a sleep doc apt myself yesterday. Eye doc apt next, chiro apt two days later. Mamo and check up in Aug. Between weddings, events and apts. my May has been packed. Quilts in the rooms? That is a tad different. Thanks for the pics.

What a GORGEOUS exam room, with all the quilts!!! I've never seen anything like it! I wonder how they keep all that stuff from getting "germy"? I'm glad you've gotten many of the "taking care of you" things done. ~Andrea xoxo

Thank you for all the pictures! The thermometer is interesting. Even more interesting is that when I went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago (for a mammogram) they didn’t take my temperature. We did need to wear masks at least.

well I love the quilts and I spied a teddy bear - it would make me feel far more comfortable than looking a steel grey cabinets, swivel chairs and a dreadful narrow exam table. I suspect they are regularly washed/aired. As they sure don't look dirty or germy to me.

great idea to have the thermometer gadget not having to be constantly held and wiped by an assistant - although I suspect they do spray/wipe it regularly.

Good luck on all the medical tests! I've been in many doctor's offices, but I've never seen one with quilts displayed :)
