Dress shopping

My son is getting married on the 15th of May so last Saturday Amanda and I went out shopping for something to wear. After we were done shopping, we had lunch and then headed to a greenhouse to see what they had. I left my phone in the car but Amanda took pictures for me to share with you here today.

This hanging plant was huge. I can't remember what the price was on this. I should have asked Amanda for the picture she took of the price list.

The geranium house.

I can't remember what these were called but they were really pretty.

This was so pretty with all those hanging baskets.

For those of you that were wondering, yesterday wasn't all that bad. It did suck getting up at 2 a.m. but the time went fast. I started at 2:30 and was done with the donuts by 5:00. Then I cleaned up and sat and waited for the guy to come pick them up. He was about 20 minutes later than what he said. I was back home by 6, sat on the computer for a while then took a nap till 9:00. After that I just had a lazy kind of day. It was pretty gloomy out anyway so it was a good day for being lazy.

Was it a variety of donuts made or all the same type? Such pretty hanging baskets of flowers. My son gave me one a few Mother Days ago. I loved it until I killed it (I'm not good with plants).

Do we get to see what the dress looks like? How exciting for your son getting married!! May 15th will be here before you know it! I hope it is a nice weather day for the wedding!

Sounds like your day was not that bad, plus you got done real early and had the rest of the day to rest. Yikes, this place has an entire huge room with only Geraniums! It must be really big. Hanging plants cost a fortune now.

what a wonderful and cheerful looking garden place

yes I guess if you have a dedicated order and no one bothering you - the whole baking lark goes at the pace you set - and the donuts don't talk back you about whether you've got time or some silly other questions...

Laughing at The comment about the donuts do not talk back to.you...I am glad it passed quickly and that you got to.be lazy part of the day at least. Everyone needs a bit of time to call their own.

The end of your day sounds better than the beginning...2 a.m.? Whoa love that purple flower hanging basket at the beginning.

I saw similar hanging baskets and they started at 30 dollars. I nearly fainted at the prices of tiny shrubs to put in the yard. glad the donut thing was quick and painless other than sleep loss. did you find a dress? are we going to see it?

I hope you found a wonderful dress. I'm sure you did.

Oh the beautiful flowers. Flowers always makes me smile.

I'm glad your day off wasn't all that bad. You got those donuts done pretty quickly.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

I'm happy you got to rest at least somewhat yesterday, Ann. Did you ever find out what this guy wanted with all those donuts? ~Andrea xoxo

Well, that's exciting news about your son. I hope you had luck with a dress! Can't wait to see photos. :)

Nothing like a garden center to boost one's spirit!

The greenhouses are beautiful. Thanks for sharing these photos. As I was reading about your donuts I had a flash back to the Homer Price books by Robert McCloskey. I know they are written for children, but they are such good stories. Have you ever read about his adventures when Uncle Ulysses installs a new doughnut maker. Great stories to share with children, or to relive your childhood and read again :)

Gorgeous plants. That hanging basket was stunning. Our weather has been so crazy this spring and I haven't had much chance to plant flowers but I'm working on it.
